My children went back to school yesterday and already two children have tested positive for covid. Given the more relaxed isolation with kids I feel it’s a matter of time before one or all of my kids get it. Anyone any top tips on what to keep in stock incase they become unwell, specifically with covid. So far we have:

Paracetamol (age appropriate for all kids)
Ibuprofen
Vapour run
Pulse oximeter
Lucozade
Lolly pops
Jelly.

Any other ideas?

I'd focus on getting stuff to keep then occupied eg toys / craft etc

DS basically survived on Tomato soup for a week. He couldnt /wouldnt eat anything else.

By lollipops do you mean the frozen ones, or hard boiled sweets? Get both.

Depending on age, I'd get throat sweets too.

Stuff you can put in a cupboard for Xmas gifts but are willing to bring out early as an emergency time filler.

Lego
Colouring books
Video game
Modelling kit
Baking stuff

Sorry not sure on age so going across a spectrum but you get the idea

Ideally stuff that could be done happily if DC is feeling ill or if they are feeling well and just need to be occupied.

I’ve got ice lolly pops, good call re sweet lolly’s and throat sweets. I’ve already started my Christmas stash (worried about supply chain issues) so I have things to pull out. I’ll get some extra soup in too. Thank you

If old enough decongestant tablets (me and one of my D's had that as our main issue) or some menthol crystals to inhale over steam. That same ds just wanted to sleep for a couple of days so not interested in anything else or food. Just added some electrolyte to other D's as he had an upset stomach but fine otherwise. X

Hugs, squash, calpol and a cosy blanket on the sofa are my go to remedy

diloralite rehydration powders incase of diarrhea, drink bottles so easily held if feeling rubbish, water bottles and new pajamas so cozy and comfortable

My sisters children only wanted fruit juices so maybe some longer life versions of these. I has somehow used mine up so will be getting a couple of these with each shop for a few weeks.

Yeah I agree with this. Mine had covid and didn't require any of the stuff on your list. What we needed was stuff to keep them busy during isolation period e.g. sticker books, new games and puzzles, popcorn and DVDs/TV subscription and treat foods to bribe them with.
