Please!

I have one, shared, (ignore the numbers, these are from Brexit 2); but I don't want to overlook something obvious!

Many thanks.

You know how to use that thing

Yes, I used to work in kitchens and once you get used to it they're really very quick

Hold the tin firmly, stab the pointy bit into the can, where you normally would, and use a levering up and down motion as you go round. Use the square bit as a pressure on the rim to pull the pointy bit up in a tearing motion

Honestly its the only one I'd ever use now. It only takes a couple of seconds to open a can. Obviously you have to be very careful when you first try it

...I've just bought a new one, but the one I had before (now a spare) still works as good as it did when I first bought it about ten years ago

They're only a quid in the market

Scary stuff from the Swedish leaflet:
If Sweden is attacked by another country, we will
never give up. All information to the effect that
resistance is to cease is false.

Planning to scour charity shops for jigsaws and games, and do a sweep for reduced-price Christmas chocs and pudding after Christmas - Christmas pud lasts forever and can be zapped in the microwave.

@Flaxmeadow

These are the best type of tin openers. Not much can go wrong with them and they last ages. Also quick to use
This is the only tin opener we've ever had - DP had it from camping and couldn't see the point of (what I considered) a 'normal' one.

Once you learn not to stab yourself they work well.

Tin opener meets dyspraxia meets AandE!

I am notoriously cack-handed. Can recommend this style of Japanese tin opener that my husband bought after the horror of watching me use a regular one. images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/41%2BlOdqAwPL.SL500.jpg
