Prepping and being Keto

I have a stock of dried goods put away so that I won't starve, but on an everyday basis I follow a Keto diet (for health reasons as advised by my GP and it's been very effective in getting rid of some horrible symptoms), so I don't actually eat carby dried foods.

There's only so much meat I can shove into the freezer and I get through it quite quickly.

Is anyone else a prepper but also keto? Any suggestions on what to stock up on that isn't just frozen meat?

I'm not knowledgeable about Keto although I have seen US homesteaders like Sutton's Daze talking about it. They do pressure canned meals to address it, I think so I don't know if that's a route you want to go down. It's an expensive initial outlay - I've done it, it's great but I had to save up and import.
I'd suggest looking at tinned options. Is there anything in Jack Monroe's Tin Can Cook that suits?

Eggs
Coconut milk (for curries etc)
Cheese- paneer, halloumi, cheddar
Frozen spinach/green beans/berries
Dark chocolate
Greek yogurt
Try different types of flour for making keto bread - almond, coconut

That’s about as much as I can come up with 🤷‍♀️

I am so glad you posted this, I was coming to do the same. DH and I eat a very low carb diet, initially for weight loss on his part but now more because we both feel so much better for it.

I got into Brexit prepping before we changed our diet so have plenty of pasta etc stockpiled but would like to avoid using it if at all possible! (Anything not needed post Brexit worst will go to the food bank). We do buy zero carb pasta as that lasts years but it’s very expensive (£2.30 a portion!Shock). I am also stocked on tinned tomatoes, tinned veg, cheese, halloumi, cured meats and other mid range lifespan foods but would love any other suggestions. We live in a London flat (I.e. small!!) and only have a small freezer so can’t rely on that.

Tinned fish? Mackerel? Tuna etc?

Oh yes, I can’t bear tinned tuna but DH likes it so I will stock up on that for him and other fish for me. Thank you!
