Do I need to stockpile this type of thing?

I would say if your little one likes them /it works for you then do.
My dd (11) is a fussy eater even now, despite all the beautifully puréed organic veg I gave her when she was weaning. Ella's kitchen stuff worked for us when she was little. In fact there were particular ones she liked.
While it's all very well saying.... well whatever it is people say as an alternative to sachets, sometimes you have to do what works.
So while it's a great idea to have home made alternatives, if they work for you it would be a bummer if they ran out when you need them.

Yes, if they work for you I would.
My baby will be starting solids just around Brexit and I’ve stocked up some of those jars and sachets.
Hopefully we will keep on BFing until the end of the year but who knows so I’m going to get some of the formula I know that her siblings were fine with (not that that is a guarantee).
