Does anyone have any that they want to share? (I’m willing to jeopardise my secrets in hope of the fact that no one here knows where I live - not that I actually have much compared to a lot of people!)

Liquid 2-in-1 concentrated fabric wash and conditioner is a great space saver: I can fit 5 bottles in the same space I can fit a box of powder and a bottle of fabric conditioner. That means I can do 112 washes compared to the 65 I could get out of the powder (or double that if I had to rationed the dose).

Some of the kick boards of my kitchen units click on and off meaning that I can store bottles/cans there. The ones that don’t come off below the units of draws can be accessed by pulling the drawer out so again, another handy space Wink

I used to have an Aunt who hid her money in the pages of the 1000s of books on her shelves throughout her flat: she knew where it was (something contrived to do with the names of the author and school friends) but I have a terrible memory so will stick to the knicker draw for now for my money!

How do you find liquid impacts your machine compared to powder? Mine struggles and gets smelly with liquid, so I need to factor in vinegar for regular cleans.

Loving the idea of working out space saving ideas.
Our coffee table is a vintage trunk and used to house toys before we extended our house. It is now home to extra supplies like loo roll and dog food.

My machine seems fine, but I run a machine-clean every few months on it (it’s my first machine I’ve had from new so I treat it like a family pet).

We have a trunk coffee table too, and a footstool that doubles as storage.

I've got a walk-in loft where I had planned to store everything, neatly laid out like a mini supermarket (in my dreams), only reading some of the other threads here, I didn't take into account the likelihood of mice! I have a cat but she doesn't go in the loft, and I can't really afford to invest in a whole load of plastic boxes for storage - I'd rather spend what's left of my budget on food and other essentials.

It's all currently sitting in cardboard boxes, waiting for me to clear some loft space for it. Would humane mousetraps work, do you think? Or would that not be enough to combat the lure of food? We live in a small rural town, however the only mice I've ever seen are those the cat has brought in.
