When does cluster feeding end?!

My DS born is 10 weeks (4 weeks corrected) and has been cluster feeding since week 3. I have had many consultants check his latch because I thought he must not be getting enough and they all say he's fine, he's gaining weight but he still feeds for hours on end and is non stop hungry. I thought cluster feeding was meant to slow down after 6-8 weeks and then only happen at growth spurts and only for a few days at a time but I cannot think of a day where I have spent less that 8 hours feeding him and it's really testing me. I don't feel like I can plan anything or get a life back. If he's not on the breast or not asleep, he's crying to be on. The bottle of EBM we give him each morning is not enough and he still needs to go back on. Do premature babies just cluster feed more? Not sure what to do

With DD2 she was 6 weeks prem, and I really remember this phase lasted for ages... Might not be the same for you, but turns out she had a milk protein allergy, so once I stopped consuming any dairy products she stopped using feeds for relief from a sore tummy.
(She also vomited a lot, so me going dairy free fixed that too).
Pro-tip, if you have a baby carrier and good bf clothes you can bf hands free whilst baby is in the carrier and no one can see. Such a game changer!!

How did you get her tested? paediatrician dismissed his spit up as not enough for it to be reflux and that there would be blood in poo for CMPA?

I actually didn't get any tests, they were also unhelpful about testing (I'm not based in the UK) but my friend and sister in law who were both in medical roles just said to try going dairy free and so I did. Lasted a year before I could eat dairy again without her reacting, and now she has zero issues with dairy.
I asked at ever HV appointment about how to re-introduce but zero help, so I just had a tiny bit of dairy every now and again, if I had an angry puking baby in an hour or so after, then I wouldn't test again for a month or so.

Never saw blood in poo. I 100% feel that going dairy free fixed the issues though. I mean, you may as well try for a couple of weeks and see if it helps. But make sure you go 100% dairy free, check food labels etc.

Thank you! It doesn't sound similar so giving up dairy as of now. It can't hurt
