Below 2nd centile for height

Does anyone else have a child that is below the 2nd centile for height? My LB is 6 months old (4months corrected). When he was born he was on the 50th centile for height but at each check up he has kept dropping and he is now just below the 2nd centile. He is on the 25th for weight and 50th for head circumference.
I know he’s still young but I’m starting to get a bit concerned. Myself and my husband aren’t tall (5’5 and 5’7) so I am by no means expecting him to be 6ft 🤣 but should I be concerned?
I also have a 2 year old LG who is very small and petite but she has always followed 9th-25th centiles.
Doctors or health visitor have never had any concerns but I’m starting to worry that he’s not growing. Obviously it doesn’t matter what height he ends up being but I’m just curious if anyone else has a child on 2nd centile that ended up having a growth spurt later on!

Mine was born on the 25th centile but dropped rapidly while in hospital. Based on the adjusted age, around 6 months, they were a bit above the 9 centile, but for their actual age, they were between 0.4 and 2nd centile. They have recently turned 3 and just had a massive growth spurt and hit the 25th centile for their actual age. Are you measuring against their actual or adjusted age? It is really tough when you know that your child is small, but it really is just a number and means they are lighter to carry around. My understanding is that, as long as the centile lines are in proportion with each other, you don't have to worry. If you are still concerned, it may be worth a chat with your health visitor.

My daughter was on the 25th percentile until 1 and then some time between 1 and 2 she dropped to the 1st percentile for height. Her weight has stayed on the 25-35th percentile. She is now 4 and has continued to be between the 1st and 2nd percentile for height and 25-35th for weight. She's starting school in a few weeks having only just turned 4 and it has been a challenge to find her school uniforms that fit. She is currently wearing a mid of 1.5-2 and 2-3 clothes. Some of the 2-3 uniform is too big for her! We had to delay potty training but a couple of months as we were struggling to find knickers in 12-18 months and she was on the verge of going up to 18-24 months and we found some in that size so we waited until they fitted her.

Her paediatrician and dietician are happy with her size, we had some extra measurements when it was found that she had dropped more than 2 percentiles since the last measurement but she is now following the new line ok so they aren't concerned at the moment but keep monitoring her every 3-6 months

She has severe silent reflux, multiple food allergies and intermittently goes off her food. It's possible that this has an impact on her height. I'm only 5ft2 and although dad is 5ft11-6ft as an adult as a child he was amongst the smallest boys in his class. So we are hoping my daughter is the same. Her predicted adult height currently is a little shorter than me at 5ft-5ft1

My DD was full term and below that percentile for a few years. She was off the bottom of the charts. She had lots of investigations but nothing was ever found. She’s now a healthy adult, though small at 5’2”.

Hi, this is my son’s chart for height! He is slowly going up the centiles. This is for his corrected age, his actual age he would have been miles below the chart.

My DGS is 3... he's on the first centile for height, with a big head and a stocky little body, and he's been that way since my DD's scans!
DD is 5 ft 3 and her dh 5 ft 7... guess he's just going to be short. Luckily he makes up for in with confidence!
