Hi, in my late 40’s and in a relationship. I’ve always wanted a child and he’s very supportive and keen too.. Any experience/ thoughts from older mums 🙏

I think in this day and age alot of things are possible now without the same judgement as there was in the past. People are more inclined to follow their hearts desire. Lots of women have kids now in 40s, successfully. Yes theres said to be increased risks, compared to younger women, but nothing in life is risk free and fertility is unpredictable, and is often said to be a couples issue, not the individual (as it takes two) e.g you might have no none issues, but partner does. I'd recommend talking to your doctor, and you can always go to a fertility clinic to check your AMH levels etc., that's if you are thinking of birthing a child. There's obviously fostering/adoption also. My friend after years of failed IVF (completely unexplained fertility, as in they couldnt find anything wrong with her or her husband- just one of those things, which is why a fertility doctor told me its about the couple!) has just adopted a baby boy and couldn't be happier. So search your soul for what you want in life and then go for it with all your heart. Good luck. Life is short !
