Second induction after birth trauma

I’ve posted before considering c section but now I’m having doubts 🙈 I am 34 weeks pregnant with my second baby, my first was induced and had an epidural, everything was fine until delivery and I had to have forceps delivery and had an episiotomy, 3b tear and a haemorrhage.
I need to decide at 36 weeks whether I have a c section or natural delivery, and I still cannot decide. My 2.5 year old is very much a mummy’s boy and loves cuddles and I worry about the recovery with a c section and not being able to pick him up or cuddle him etc and him getting jealous or feel left out because of the new baby, this really really upsets me.
If I have a natural birth I will request another induction as I don’t want the baby getting too big and risk tearing and it also gives me some control over the situation. Has anyone had a similar first birth and had an induction on their second and it’s been okay?

me. my first labour was like yours.my second was so different. i was induced but avoided having an epidural and managed on gas. this meant although i was in intense paid (and it was the worst pain i have expeirienced) i resiisted the urge for anything stronger and managed to get him out. i did tear a bit but did not lose blood like the first time. this isnt an anti pain relief post but it was quite technical pushing them out and i can see how with my first because i had an epidural i wasnt able to feel to push. dont get me wrong it wasnt easy- i think the midwifes wanted me to get pain relief as i was making such a noise! but it did mean i had a much better birth experience and recovery compared to my first. so yes it is positive to have a good induction experience even after a difficult first birth. good luck

This was the post I needed to see, so thank you! I’ve said im going to try without an epidural and if there are signs I need forceps I think I’ll then opt for a c-section. Thank you so so much for the post 😊😊
