TW warning, discussion about abortion and mention of miscarriage

I am 37 years old and around 10 months ago suffered a miscarriage.

We decided we wouldn't actively TTC and just see what happens.

Well I usually have a 25 day cycle and today is day 51. I've done tests every week but all BFN.

However, I am showing some symptoms.

My partner now says he doesn't think now is the right time to have another child. We already have DD (7) and DS (5) and he feels they monopolize my time as it is. Plus the costs of running the house.

I always said I didn't believe in abortion and this is what he is now asking (if I am pregnant) I just don't know what to do now...

I think the priority here is to find out whether you are pregnant or not before worrying about what will happen if you are. Can you get a doctors appointment to do a blood test to confirm it? Do you have any idea when you last ovulated?

I have spoken to the Dr and they said just keep testing, they don't do blood tests for pregnancy anymore.

My worry is if it doesn't show up on a test and he doesn't want the baby what do I do?

I want the baby, but I can see his point. We are in a 2:bed flat with little room and can't afford to move. He also feels that this would be one more reason we won't be able to spend time together.

He also says he is scared for me as the previous births were somewhat traumatic.

However s few months ago he was happy to find out we were pregnant, I think he didn't think it would happen again as it took so long in the first place....

That being said it may all be for nothing. I might not be pregnantm

That's annoying that your GP don't do blood tests. Do you have the money for a private scan at all? Whatever the result, the fact that you say above quite clearly that you want the (hypothetical) baby, abortion may not be right for you. Having an abortion just because your partner doesn't want to keep it, would not be a wise move IMO.
