Too early for medical termination

Feeling really deflated. Nearly two weeks ago I found out I was pregnant, I know it isn't the right time for many reasons but it has still been a hard decision to make. I had an appointment today for a medical termination but when i went for the scan they said they couldn't yet see a pregnancy - it was too early. I didn't even know that it was possible to be too early for the procedure. I felt I has to psyche myself up so much to actually attend the appointment and come to terms with everything mentally and emotionally. I feel the longer it's left the harder it will get. Has anyone had an experience of this?

@CockapooLover they did make me bleeding but I managed to make it to my planned time of taking the misoprostol. Now I'm in agony. I'm not sure if I've already passed the pregnancy or not. Would I definitely know? When I got in from work I was having period type pains and period like bleeding. I went the loo just before 2 o clock and passed something white that was round and about the size of a 50p piece. I don't know if that was it. After that I took the misoprotol by holding them in my mouth for 30 mins. That was at 2 o clock. By 3 I'm in agony and keep passing clots in the toilet. Sorry if this is too much information I'm worried about knowing if it's passed and how will I know if I need to take the last 2 misoprotol as I was already bleeding before I took the first lot.

I hope you're feeling better and have the right support you need

@Gingergee Hi it’s me(cockapoo lover)I’ve changed my ‘name’.
How are you doing???? Sorry late reply, todays been manic, sons birthday party.
You need to make sure you have used ALL of the tablets even if you’re passing a heavy period/clots. Aslong as the clots aren’t soaking pads that you are needing to change them every hour. If at all worried please ring the helpline and someone will ring you back with guidance and support. Its vital to carry on with the whole course of tablets to make the termination complete. You don’t want to retain any clots etc.
More than likely you have passed the major amount saying it was size of 50p.
I am still bleeding now and string like mucus blood. I remember waking up the morning after I finished the course of tablets with awful tummy cramps and passing large amounts of clots throughout the day. I guess due to laying down sleeping during the night the clot built up and stimulating the clot to move once you and about sorting brekky and school routine. I didn’t leave the house due to feeling uncomfortable and feeling what felt like a flood of ‘gush’ it wasn’t as bad as it felt but I didn’t want to be out on school run thinking had I leaked!!!🤦🏼‍♀️ Each day has got easier.
keep me updated how you are doing if you feel up to it.
Take care x

@Crazyone thank you. I did finish the tablets and I believe it's mostly done now. Feeling a bit sore but no longer having those intense cramps and rushing to the loo. The pain was so intense at one point I was thinking if birth is worse than this I'll never be able to cope (I do hope to have a family in the future). I just feel exhausted and so have got into bed with a cup of tea. Thank you for your support and I hope your son enjoyed his birthday party 🙂 x

@Gingergee Well done for completing the course. You might feel a little ‘uhhhh’ for few days be kind to yourself take it steady. But if at all don’t hesitate for support if you feel unsure on quantity of blood your passing or tummy cramps are still present. Our bodies are amazing knowing what is needed to be done. I had a good few days if not 5days of a regular heavy period and it eased and then suddenly it fired up again. And passing small amounts of brown mucus lumps when wiping after a per, would be similar to the tail end of a normal period for me. But I’m still passing blood enough to have a small thin sanitary liner in my knickers. I’m fed up of wearing them especially in this heat 😩
Regarding child birth yes it’s on similar scale but more intense for longer. But that’s why there is pain relief and we don’t have to be a hero doing it cold turkey when the time is right. It’s buzzard cos women do it every day give birth and some women do it more than once. That’s for another time.
Concentrate on getting over this chapter and letting those hormones settle.
Rest when you can my sweet x

You said to take All the tablets? Did you take all 6? The nurse gave me 6 but told me to take 4 vaginally or buccally and only to take the extra 2 if nothing had happened or i only had light bleeding 4 hours after taking them. So I've only taken 4. Were you advised the same? Now panicking I've done it wrong and not taken enough

Go by what ever the nurse advised you my sweet.
I went through BPAS….. I was told to take first tablet orally.
24hrs later I inserted 4 vaginally (or orally).
3hrs after i inserted the last 2 tablets vaginally.
I was told to complete the course.
man’s then wait 3wks to take pregnancy test.
im due to have a scan on Monday coming due to concerns with cramping in the week and feel very anxious not recognising my body and wanting to make sure all was clear. I’m very much of a worrier.
Please don’t go by what I’ve been advised because maybe the nurse has gone through your medically history etc to work out what’s best for.
who did you go through to have termination? There should be a helpline to contact. X

I went through NUPAS. I will see how I get on over the next few days I'm still very crampy this morning but I would have thought I will be for a few days. Good luck with your scan, I hope it all goes okay!
