Kicking in cervix normal?

It is quite intense when it happens, feels like if I go to the toilet there will be a foot sticking out of my fanjo.

Does anyone else get this, and is there anyway of politely encouraging baby to move away from there.

I have an interior placenta so all my movements feel low down, whereas with DD they felt quite high up.

23 weeks by the way.

Had this with DD as she was breech for a while, luckily she flipped. Feels really strange tho!

cardamomginger · 04/07/2010 15:59

nunnie · 04/07/2010 16:00

Ooh, I think this has been happening for me in the last week. A deep, low down, sharp, shooting sensation. Very disconcerting and unpleasant. First happened to me while walking round Tesco; think i might have gasped out loud!

All other movement sensations I am loving but less so this one

kcoffin27 · 04/07/2010 20:24

Hi I also had this when baby was breech, luckily she has now turned as it was quite uncomfortable at times.

Maclaren · 04/07/2010 22:20

Just to add my Bubba is breech at the mo and he kicks me there too the little rotter!

watersprite · 04/07/2010 22:34

Hi I get this too, I'm 28 weeks tomorrow and have had this sensation from 25 weeks.

The other day I had it as I was answering the door it really hurt and I had to say sorry must sit down and shuffled back into the living room, bet the person at the door thought I was mad lol. :0

Lionstar · 04/07/2010 22:35

I remember the feeling - like any minute a little hand was going to make its appearance! I swear my DD was trying to dig her way out (and she was almost 3 weeks early!)

MammyG · 04/07/2010 22:52

I have yelped in the middle of lunch, bolted upright at times with the fright and now have to wear pads at night because a little escapes with the blows Im getting. Keep trying to remind myself that Im only 5ft4 and there isnt much room for this little one and all the rest! Its a bit unnerving but at least it means baby is strong?

parkj83 · 05/07/2010 10:45

oh phew, I'm not alone on this one! I was teaching sunday school yesterday, and nearly fell off my chair when Fidget landed one!

I'm 29 weeks, but not sure whether s/he's breech or not? I think s/he might be, as I often feel a very solid large lump which rolls around just under my right ribcage, at the moment lol

nunnie · 05/07/2010 10:49

Oh thank goodness, it is always nice to find out everything is normal.
Think he must think it is a trampoline or something, I suppose it could be a punch rather than a kick I really don't know.

Yes very normal. All my pgs have been this way and it's really annoying.

I have got used to suddenly clutching my bits in the middle of a supermarket, as it feels like something is imminently about to poke out.

Regarding the AP; this is my 3rd pg with one (only 2nd born with posterior) and I found that as I progressed I could feel movements higher up aswell.

Which is a nice respite from a mullered fanjo..
