Hello,
I am currently out work, I am well educated experienced in my field but my field is currently not really hiring. I am interviewing for jobs but need some income.

I am looking for a way to make money from home like telemarketing, marketing and what not. There are so much information on line, make money through google, transcripting and so on but I am sure some are scams. Does anyone have experience with this? Any advice?

I am also fluent in two languages.

Hi babynelly2010, kind of same situation here. Have no direct experience but for sure if they ask you to send/give money, it's a scam. Some things in which you get paid to answer surveys are true, some friends have done it. I plan to sell cakes...

Translation services. Set up as self employed, website. Price per page and wait for the work to come in. In my experience, most of the jobs targetted as 'perfect for mums from home' are crap and scammy, terrible pay, but I have been able to take my skills and set up my own business very successfully. Be self employed if you want to work from home. Those other businesses are preying on people who want to be at home with kids.

babynelly2010 have you looked at the secret shopper type things - don't know if you can earn a lot of money but they have assignments that you have to go to a shop/cafe etc. and do a specific thing and then report back. Its the way big companies check their shops etc. are providing good service.

There are a couple of big companies doing it and it felt legitimate when I signed up but a lot of them were during the day so I couldn't do them but might be useful?

Thank you all for the ideas.
Knittakid I hope you your cake business goes well! Surveys may be an option for me. I will look into it.

toddlerama translation services is an excellent idea, I will research it to see if I can realize that! Any ideas what prices are like for service such that?

Mecedes519 do you have the names of the companies that you signed up with? At this time I am open and available during the day. So this is may be something that I can do while I am setting up online page.

Thanks so much everyone!

I joined mystery shoppers a long time ago and have had one job only and that was shopping for paving slabs! Got £15 but not the free meals out etc I was hoping for!

I am a childminder, left my job when DS was 14 months as I hated leaving him all day but it's not something you can start quickly.

Look into babyprints, if they have space in your area you can earn quite a lot but it is a franchise so there will be some outlay. People come to your home, you take casts of their babies feet and hands and then can make the casts and frame them in your own time. Unfortunately they already had someone in my area when I applied.

There's always Avon or kleeneze? Bodyshop or virgin vie consultant?

Good luck!

cinnamon thank you for the lead. I contacted the babyprints but there is a location kind of close to me so I am not sure what will they tell me.

Another talent that I did not mention is that I can design. Does anyone think there are much market for nursery design/advice or is it usually do it your self kind of thing?

Thanks so much!
