I am 6+2 today (YAY) but I can't function. I am sick 24/7 and havent been able to keep much down since Friday when the sickness stepped up a gear.

I am however grateful because its a good sign, but we go on holiday on sat and I need to pack and clean etc... At the moment I cant really stand up for too long without feeling dizzy and weak.

I just bought some crackers and lucozade. By the time I had gotten up at 8am and got back from school run at 9:30am I had vomited 4 times !

I am exhausted.

What do you eat, drink or do to help?

Eat as soon as you get up, slowly. Have lunch by 12 and dinner by 5.

Nibble on
dried apricots,
chocolate,
apples,
iceberg lettuce.
Very random - you won't feel like eating all or many of these but they do stave off the queaze for a bit.

Caesar salad, Subway and McDonalds/Burger King (urgh, but so good for MS) make good lunches for when you can tolerate a bit more food.

I meant to add that the above measures are for normal MS. With pg#1 I was like you at your stage but it did ease a little after a week or two (in that I still had 24/7 nausea but I could eat a little). Thankfully I was off work the week that it really set in. But it was pretty horrid until 15-16 weeks.

If it is HE, then you need medication for it.

Don't be afraid to try eating. I made the mistake of following my nausea's cue and not eating enough and I don't think I ever got on top of the hunger again which didn't help 1st time around.

You poor old thing.

Get rid of your waistband immediately with the elastic band/button technique.

Learn to eat two meals, one to vomit and one to keep down in the ten minutes after vomiting that you don't feel sick.

Take vitamins.

Tins of processed fruit.

Crackers on the bedside table.

Sorry you are feeling so bad.

Poor you, I am 10 weeks and hhave suffered m/s with DS1 and this one - midwife said don't get up unless you have something in your mouth , I have to admit this advice has helped ! I am fed up of rich tea biscuits, chewing gum , polos and pears ! I will say from last time avoid anything that stresses you , for instance In Laws, eejits etc as this makes it worse !

Lucozade not good -- its like acid on the way back up !

I feel your pain. this is my second pregnancy and compared to my first, I had absolutely dreadful morning sickness. At one point I was vomiting with no warning whatsoever and didn't leave the house (apart from the odd day at work when I had the strength) for almost six weeks. In the end I broke down at my GPs and she prescribed me Cyclazine which was a life saver.

I'm now 15 weeks and feel really good. I'm tired but the sickness has disappeared and that bone numbing tiredness is also a thing of the past. I honestly don't know how i got through those weeks but the meds helped. Please go to your GP and get some advice.

Honestly go to the GPs. I martered on for until 9 weeks before getting help. Make an appointment tomorrow. There are multiple medications so if the first one doesn't work keep going back. Now in week 15 and I don't think I would have stayed out of hospital without medication.

Don't worry about what your eating even if it is just crisps, cup a soups and fizzy juice. In my worse two weeks I lived on Lemonade and glucose tablets. The baby will get what it needs regardless of what you eat.

good luck to you
