Hi all, am 21w and have had a bit of fluttering for a little while, but now getting stronger and more distinct movements. Which I'm glad about, don't get me wrong, but they are actually making me feel a bit sick! Am I the only one?

Nope! I'm getting that too. I thought the fluttering, butterly-like feelings I'm having must be gas related but my MW said this week that it sounded like that was the baby!

I've found that I can't have a cold drink before eating or I get stronger feelings and feel really quite sick.

Cold drink thing might be setting me off too- felt lots of moving about after eating ice cream yesterday- although as it was Ben and Jerrys chocolate fudge brownie flavour I just kept eating . I have also noticed drinking coke gets Bean dancing too...

Personally, no. But three of my friends were utterly grossed out by the whole baby moving inside you experience. Am actually quite surprised I'm not grossed out too - was expecting I would be! On the other hand every time I think about the fact that a whole other person is currently growing inside me I feel really queasy. I am delighted to be having a baby, but the whole thing really is a bit odd and I think a bit of queasiness is not to be unexpected....

I've been feeling almost sea sick at times when baba is bouncing around, now got to the stage where she's not got as much room to bounce so eased off.

I thought I must be strange so nice to hear others get the same feeling

red when I get kicked in the bladder I feel pretty queasy, yes cold drinks set it off too.

I had the same sensations from around 20-24 weeks......motion sickness/sea sickness pretty much all the time though never actually unwell.

Now 33 weeks and baby not slowed down at all...still constant wriggling

skihorse · 25/06/2010 16:23

Yes, I was getting horribly nauseous when he wouldn't let up for hours... but this is something that doesn't seem polite to mention. It's passed as he has less room to wriggle.
