Am 9 weeks. Was chatting to a mum from nursery outside her house, when I suddenly felt a wave over me and had to lean over. Went inside, sat down, had juice and a biscuit and felt better in 5 mins or so... Was a bit scary though.

I know I hadn't had any lunch yet but I had eaten probably only 1.5-2hrs (MaX) beforehand.

Have felt faint-y all day since.

Any advice? Thanks

hey i found out yesterday im 7 weeks and having been fainting for the past 2 weeks due to the heat and low blood pressure.

Best going to the docs get them to check your iron, blood pressure etc as you may be anaemic.

Its a horrible feeling but luckily you managed to prevent it from bein a full blown faint as they are horrible.

Hope that helps

In early pregnancy I was quite often light-headed and dizzy. At one point I had to sit down on the floor in morning briefing in the staff room (and so no-one was especially surprised when, five weeks later, I announced I was expecting!), so make sure you don't have to stand up still for very long at a time. Drink plenty of water and carry snacks with you wherever you go.

Careful in the sun - dehydration and sunstroke can make you faint. I'm reliant on Gatorade and a sunhat atm if I want to go out during the day!

Thanks all, so looks like I was being a bit foolish standing out in the sun!
My checklist
-sun/too hot
-standing too long
-drinking water
-eating

May try and get to dr to check blood etc... Haven't got booking-in til 12 weeks.

was like this during first few weeks of first pregnancy. no obvious reason- BP ok and no anemia. your checklist sounds about right... it'll pass soon.

hate to tell you but im 26+4 and am still regularly feeling faint to the point of having to sit down wherever i am - even on the floor in tescos - its really embarissing but its better than actually fainting and hurting urself/baby. i find its best to keep water with you at all times and sip it regularly.
