Right 12 may at doc as I had come off the pill in an attempt to concieve but was bleeding quite heavily unusual for me. He ignored it and said it was due to coming off the pill I had done a pregnancy test which was negative. I bled for about 10 days in all stopped a few days after the 12th. Any way 5th june my boobs are quite sore so I did a pregnancy test and it was positive, as was the one I did the next day! So I am worried all that bleeding was a misscarriage (had one years ago) as it seems a bit soon to have a positive test after all that bleeding.
Any wise words?

Have you done a test recently? 5th was a while ago now I think that would be the only way to tell. IF you get another positive then ask for a referral to EPU. Good Luck

Am no way an expert, but would you still be showing positive if you'd miscarried? Doctor would be able to tell, and the wotsit levels go down if no longer pg, so their more sensitive tests can tell.

God, does that make any sense? I know what I'm trying to say but I'm ill!

Was is a strong line? I think if you'd miscarried but it still showed pos, then it would be a faint line. I think you ought to see the doc, or at least ring them.

Fingers crossed for you

Very strong line, the control? line or one that shows if negative is faint in comparison. Still skeptical and i don't know why!!

Because if you get all excited, then it turns out to be false then you'll be devastated - completely natural! Getting tested by the doctor is the only way I think. Tell him all your worries about not trusting your results.

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 15/06/2010 14:41

Hey Meg. I think the fact that you did a test that was negative around the time you were bleeding is pretty conclusive. Had it been a misscarriage, it should have been positive then too (and more strongly positive then than now I would have thought).

So it sounds good to me! But I will only whisper "congratulations" until you get a chance to talk through your worries with your doctor.

Will chat to DH tonight and see what he says, he's not getting excited at the moment either.
