My GP said Migraleve is safe - I find the pink ones work for me if I take them as soon as I realise I'm having an attack, which may not be very helpful at the moment.

Don't see any reason why you shouldn't have acupuncture while you're pregnant, if that worked for you before.

Thanks petsville yeh i have had a headache all week very stressful week in work but its at the stage now where throbbing on one side and sensitive to light/noise.

dont think the migraleve would help at this stage for me.

yes i think i will go back and get more acpunture.

Hi, I sympathise as my migraines got worse in the first trimester. Imigran is untested and therefore not recommended unfortunately.
It won't help you today but the good news is that my migraines disappeared in the 2nd and 3rd trimester!

You need to see your doctor as you should not take imigran (or any triptans) when pregnant - it can cause miscarriage. My GP told me that if I get a migraine that severe, then I should go to A&E, partly so they can try other things (eg. IV fluids and painkillers) but also so there is a doctor on hand to make the call as to whether imigran or leaving the migraine uncontrolled is more dangerous.

japhrimel thanks for your reply, i know i a am very worried have been after taking, i was going to phone the out of hours doc i wish i had off. the pain was so severe.

i wont be taking them again, i feel a lot better headache still there but very normal for me to have that.

i took the 2 imigran as the first one after the 2 hours was still not working enough.
