I'm nearly 7 weeks and although the sickness hasn't kicked in, the feeling of sickness is always there and for the past 3 days I have had no idea what I want to eat.

I have been doing slimming world before I fell pg, however, the thought of fruit and veg, meat, potato, pasta is just not doing it for me at the moment.

I don't want to cook and I don't want sloppy/wet food (if that makes sense) has anyone got any recommendations what to eat.

Thanks

Oh blimey, your post could have been written by me when I was pg with ds (although I also done a lot of vomming)

For the first few months I think I existed on peppermint tea, digestives, plain crisps and jacobs crackers.

Cooking food and smelling food would have be running to the toilet. It's horrible isn't it?

I hope you feel better soon.

Cereal bars?
Breadsticks?
Dry cereal? (I lived for some time on crunchy nut cornflakes straight from the box ).

Bread. Toast. or similar!
Have had severe sickness and the only thing to keep it at bay is to eat something stodgey that fills you.
Still walk around with an emergency flapjack in my back and am now 28 weeks!

Jacksmybaby · 10/06/2010 14:30

Ooh yes flapjacks.

I was exactly the same as you burtoc, slimming world good intentions just went straight out of the window. I vommed at 11am on the dot practically every morning up until I was around 16 weeks.

I am now 6 weeks pregnant with DC2 and some days I feel worse then others but I am dreading the MS kicking in properly. I have found that having a high protein breakfast helps though and at themoment I have dry-fried eggs on a piece of toast. Seems to be doing the trick-long may it last

Good luck, and remember, it does pass, it's the heartburn that gets worse!

Tillyscoutsmum · 10/06/2010 14:42

I survived the first 14 weeks pretty much on scotch eggs, flapjacks and strawberry milkshake

Tillyscoutsmum · 10/06/2010 14:42

Oh - and salt & vinegar hula hoops

burtoc · 10/06/2010 15:13

Thanks girls.

The crisp thing is working, 6 packs yesterday and 3 bags so far today, just kind of feeling a little guilty that I don't want to eat healthy!

I spent the first 12 weeks on yorkshire puddings and spinach! Try the innocent smoothies for breakfast which contain 2 of your 5 a day in 1 glass - very easy option if you can keep them down (I couldn't till 16 weeks)
