How accurate is Fundal Height measuring?

Just wondering if anyone knows, cause I am nearly 33 wks but still only measuring 25 cms apparently. The midwife I saw last night didn't seem overly concerned as she said I don't look small, she can feel the baby and heart/movement rate is good...but naturally I'm a little worried!

I have a growth scan booked for tomorrow, but I have heard conflicting reports as to the accuracy of this type of measurement and I'm not sure what the common consensus is now!

I measured 32 cm at 36 weeks, so they sent me for a detailed scan -- they look at things like blood flow in the placenta.

Baby was fine -- turned out to be my biggest of 4 dc, nearly 9lbs at birth, Try not to worry.

Not accurate at all, neither are the scans! You probably just have very good stomach muscles or a slightly backwards tilting uterus.
I measured small on FH until 34 weeks at which point I was measuring full term, at 35 weeks I was measuring normal, all scans (including weekly growth scans from 34 weeks onwards) said baby just slightly smaller then the centre curve, I gave birth to a whopping (but utterly gorgeous) 9.5lb baby who is already too long for most of her newborn clothes at five days old. Glad I didn't know she was big though or I would have been scared into a c-section as I am just 5'2" and have a small frame, but I managed to give birth to her naturally and without drugs or pain relief as I thought she was going to be small, amazing how beneficial not knowing can be!

Trust your midwifes hands though - mine said all along, I know you are measuring small, but from my experience this really doesn't feel like a small baby, her back is as long as my hand........perhaps the oldest methods are the most informative!

Waste of time measuring from what I have heard?
My first was measuring big, and he was exactly average weight when born on time.
This time, measuring small, but I think baby feels bigger?
I was bragging to my sister, that I might have an 'easy' birth, as measuring small.
She told me that she measured small for both her girls. They were both about 9lb, and well long !!!

They are so innacurate for skinny people like me, that I was told right from the start that I would be having 2 extra growth scans at 26 and 34 weeks. Apparently they do this for anyone with a BMI under 19.
