lemsip contains paracetamol so should be fine. may be best not to have the max version as that contains caffeine.

hope your cold gets better soon.

No Lemsip - it's the phenylephrine that's the problem.

Paracetamol, and steam your head to try and ease your stuffy nose.

Paracetamol yes, but Lemsip not OK -- but you could make yourself a glass of hot lemon and honey, which would help.

I think Tesco has a thingy that is similar to Lemsip but does NOT contain decongestants, rather only paracetamol and vitamins. That would be ok I guess.

You could always ask a pharmacist. They will know.

Hope you feel better soon!

i made my own.. disolvable paracetamol with blackcurrent or honey or lemon (all warm) they tasted nice and soothed my troat too

No to Lemsip as well. It has decongestants as the other ladies said. Just pop yourself to bed (if you can) and rest up.

No lemsip, sorry. Poor you. Olbas oil is ok and Ricola cough sweets from Holland and Barret are very soothing.

Vicks vaporub is a godsend as well. It clears your chest and sinuses. I put a blob on a tissue and breathe it throughout the day and also put a tiny blob (a little goes a long way, so about 1/8 of a teaspoon is enough) in a bowl of boiling water to inhale with a towel over your head. It does really help when you've got a tickly cough too. Keep a vicks smeared tissue on your pillow when you go to bed too. That should should help with the congestion side of things and then, like others have said, hot lemon and honey drinks with fresh lemon. If you can lay your hands on manuka honey all the better as it's a natural antibiotic/antibacterial.
