I found out a few weeks ago that I was pg with my 5th dc. This was a huge shock but dh was quite pleased.

A few days later I started having some brownish staining which eventually turned red and I bled (very lightly, no clots or anything) for 4 days. There was no pain, cramps etc but I presumed I'd had a MC and there was only a little bleeding because I was only around 5+4.

Now I would be 7+1 and the nausea is getting worse daily. Smells make me boak and the nausea comes in waves, I can be fine and then think 'oh no'. My boobs are tingly sometimes but nothing like I remember in previous pregnancies.

I know I should take another test but I can't quite bring myself to do it.

What could be going on?

Good luck today with your scan, fingers crossed you get all the answers you need.

Just back from the hospital.

The midwife started the scan reminding me that we might find nothing and that she isn't great with scans this early on (normally she only scans women at 12 weeks).

So she started and I was terrified to look but lo and behold there was a bean with a flickering heart beat!!! .

I've been warned it's still early days (7+5) and to not over do things.

Yesterday and I had very little nausea at all and thought the worst. Today it is back with a vengence!!!

ML Oh my Lordy lord!!! I"m as pleased as I would be, if you were one of my good RL mates! I want to throw my arms around you ( I Know very un MN!!)

I am SO SO genuinely pleased for you. PLease, rest if you can yes I know 4 others- but, really, any moment u can sit down, let the others ( not sure their ages) just play around you. I have to let my ( one! ) DD do that for physical reasons, and she's fine.

I am really pleased for you. I know its early days, but all that horrible worry for days and days.

Oh, I really am so pleased for you. Congratulations!!!

susiecutiebananas · 10/06/2010 10:33

Just taken me back to that first early ( very early scan) as I thought I'd MC, had resigned myself to the fact I'd lost the baby. Then really really slowly looking at the screen to see just that, a little kidney bean with a ticking heart and funny little prongs sticking out for arms. I think I felt more seeing that scan than the next one, which was the anomaly scan! how weird. I guess it was the relief!

She's almost 3.5 now and an absolute scream! makes me laugh every day, makes me cry, makes me shout, melts my heart more often than anything else. Jeez, it goes TOO quickly. {sigh} {wistful} {broody}

fantastic! The exact same thing happened to me,except my gp said i had definitely miscarried and that my persistent symptoms were depression after the trauma of mc.I didnt re-test because i just beleived the gp
I eventuallt did another test and was pregnant-scan then showed twins
Possible bleeding was an implantation bleed, or triplets and one had mc.
