Hi, my baby is currently 'engaged' and I'm only 32+1 with my 3rd baby.

Are you trying to find ways of avoiding labour starting early?
I'm not sure whether your original may have been misinterpreted.

As you've had an early baby yourself you obviously understand the problems that can arise, and why it is better for baby to stay where she is in her cosy water-home for the next couple of weeks at least.
I can understand that you're probably frustrated when baby seems to be just sitting thee waiting.

My little girl was born at 35 weeks and while she was a healthy weight at 7lbs3oz, she was definitely prem as had no suckling reflex and feeding was a real pain in the arse!! But she's 5years old now and fit as a fiddle.

Hope you do last a couple more weeks and best of luck with everything

no, from other threads she has posted on she definitely wants to START labour early.

CherryPie3 · 04/06/2010 16:32

that seems so unfair to baby

Lulumaam · 04/06/2010 17:05

It is highly unlikely that she can do anything to make labour start before the body is ready.. the techniques can help if the body is ready... but if the body is not ready, nothing will help.

Really not sure I believe the OP! Sounds a bit odd.

FabIsGoingToGetFit · 04/06/2010 19:48

She has only posted on 2 threads, both about getting this poor child born early.

LittleSilver · 04/06/2010 21:04

Huh?

del1 · 05/06/2010 09:38

I'm a bit confused as to this being a joke?
The messages sound a bit frantic?
Sorry if you are serious, don't mean to offend you.
I am 37 weeks with my 2nd. I have been low for about 2 weeks and MW told me baby was engaged.
First was on time, and a very quick labour, so I am doing the exact opposite as you!
I am normaly active, but been trying not to do too much as I want to 'cook' the baby for a few more weeks.
Also, I have been told not to have the baby untill due date, so dad can have the world cup off !! lol !
I know peoplewho have had earlier babies, and they seem to have more trouble?
Plus the health problems others have mentioned.
Whatever is going to happen, will happen on its own. There is a reason for everything, so let it come out when it's ready !!
Apparently it is the baby that sends hormones, when it is ready, not when we decide?!
Enjoy the next few weeks chilling ( as much as you can with 3 others)

OP Get a grip on yourself, whats a couple more weeks? My twins were born at 33+6 and I wouldn't wish it on anybody.

beanlet · 05/06/2010 10:39

I think the OP is for real -- just desperately misguided.

loveydovey · 07/06/2010 10:20

reading this thread has annoyed me!,
you say you have three children already??.
