does a very active baby in utero mean anything post birth?

seriously, i was not expecting to be kicked black and blue!! just wondering if an overly active baby in utero who literally does not stop wriggling, kicking, somersaulting etc means he will be particularly active post birth? or even better, that he'll have worn himself out for weeks so he'll be really laid back and placid

When pregnant with DD1 i remember her being active ie. ten movements a day and the occassional thump in the ribs. Was so laid back after birth, slept for hours during the day, slept 8pm-7am from about 8wks old, and is so easy going. Like myself my mum says when i was born.

This time baby is VERY active ALL the time. Mega somersaults, constant punching kicking, hiccups 4 times a day and generally non stop. Even wakes me at 3am most days as is so active. I am dreading the thought of her being this active when born. MIL says DH was WILD!!! Running at 8 months of age, even ran at and jumped through a living room window when 16months was totally unharmed.

Ahh maybe it will be fine
