Hi All, I've literally just found out that I am about 6 months pregnant and we had absolutely no idea! I've had no symptoms or morning sickness or anything. Also I've not really felt the baby move or anything....
We have an appointment to see the midwife tomorrow followed by a scan on Monday. But still a bit worried about both the baby and myself.
Does anyone have any advice or prior experience that might help me??
Chelle.

Wow, I would have another baby in a heartbeat if I could only find out at six months! I really want another, but there is no way I could do nine months of pregnancy again, so I'm jealous! :D Congratulations!

She just knew from feeling the bump! Something to do with my belly button being over the top of the uterus means that you have to be certain way along!

How has your family taken the news?
Are u married...im guessing u werent trying.

My mums friends sister has found out she is 25wks pregnant at 41. She thought she was going through the menopause as periods had stopped. Went to GP who did bloods and told her the good news. They dont have any kids and thought they couldnt so its fab news for them.

Good luck xx

What a happy thread to read this morning! Congratulations!

I'm 24 weeks pg and have known for what seems like forever, and now getting sick of it as still seems so far to go! I'm very jealous at the thought of only just finding out now All that excitement for you and your family and friends about meeting your baby gets crammed into just a few months. How lovely!

FoghornLeghorn · 25/05/2010 09:39

Wow - how amazing. Congratulations

Now you've had your scan you get kick back and enjoy.

Slightly that I didn't get to skip the first 6 months of any of my pregnancies

maltesers · 25/05/2010 09:44

Hope scan is ok and baby alright. Thats amazing you didnt know you were pregnant. You are lucky if you dont suffer morning (all day for me ) sickness and big sore boobs and tiredness etc. I hope it goes well . Best wishes ! x

maltesers · 25/05/2010 09:46

P.S. take it easy. . listen to your body. When tired . .rest. When hungry. .eat healthily. Every mouthful of goodness counts . . not junk. Anti natal swimming classes are great especially when you get heavy and really big.

Firstly Congratulations! My husband and I are actually thinking I may be far along in a pregnancy and not know...a few weeks ago, all of a sudden my stomach popped out and became hard and rounded. I am a chubby girl and at first I worried I may have just put on some wait, but over the next two weeks it got bigger again.
My diet hasn't changed so I thought it a bit weird to be weight gain.
I went to the doctors, did both a urine and blood test which were negative. A week later, and still a rather large firm tummy, I started to feel as I did with both my Twin preganancy 4 years ago, and my last pregnancy less than 2 years ago.
Though, I've had light periods that have been a bit out of whack too. I went again to a different doctor, who at first glance said I looked pregnant, and felt my abdomen, and said he could feel my uterus, but wants to send me to have an ultrasound, which I still haven't done..
I wonder whether it may just be me over-reacting? But tonight I'm now feeling similar "kicking" movements to those I had with my previous pregnancies.
I'm starting to get uncomfortable in general too with my larger tummy...
But I wonder is it really possible to have all these tests that come back negative, and then all of a sudden have an ultra sound that shows up a baby? I'm so confused...
I hope all goes well for you and your bub. Think I'd better book in an ultra sound tomorrow just to be sure... hmm
