OK, so, .
Hypothetically speeeeking Riiiight, if one was to develop heammorhoids in week 26, much scarier than in last pregnancy (pg3).

Please tell me that:

a) they will go away and not last another 15 weeks or so..

and

b)pls pls pls tell me I will not be under the spotlight on the birthing table with them and if so how on earth am I going to push in spite of the pain associated with them and not to mention the eyewatering embarrassment.

Hypothetically speaking of course?

TIA, Back in 10 mins.

Urm, sorry but in my experience you can manage them with cream but they're unlikely to go completely until a fair while after birth. It's basically veins which have been put under pressure and realistically this pressure will increase as the pregnancy progresses.

TBH I think it's so common that midwives are more likely to see a woman with them than without.

And u probably won't be bothered at the time

like 2babesmum said theyre unlikely to go before the birth as they are caused/made worse by the pressure the baby is putting on your system.
you can manage them with creams, get some lactulose from the dr to soften your stools to make going to the toilet easier.
in terms of the birth, i wouldnt worry at all about what people are going to see, theyve seen more and far worse. and it wont make any difference to pushing the baby out, although it does feel like it, your not actually pushing the baby out of your backside!

From what my friends say, I don't think they will go away until after birth. And pressure will be applied by a midwife while you are pushing, so not to make them worse (if they are bad) - they will have seen it all before!! I don't actually know what they look like but the embarrassment can't be any worse than pooing yourself during labour??!!

Hope they're not too painful .
