Hi

Am currently 9+5 after having a late MMC last year. I had an early reassurance scan at 8 weeks and all was fine so far, however given the circumstances of my last pregnancy I am a bit stressed about the idea that something might have gone wrong and I don't know.

I have been feeling lots of the usual preg symptoms very strongly, very nauseous etc. Just wondered when other people started to feel a bit better? Am freaking out as I don't feel sick today (which I know is silly but can you tell me that please?!) Is it a bit early for symptoms to be easing off?

Thanks!

If it´s any help, I found that from about 9 weeks my symptoms have come and gone. One day I feel fine and then start worrying and the next I feel really nauseous again (like today) and am then fed up with feeling rubbish. I´m 13+1 today.

Hi CisforCookie

I'm in a similar boat to you as I am 10 weeks today and had a reassurance scan at 8 weeks following a MMC late last year (thankfully detected at 8 week scan because I also had a MMC before I had DS, so sorry you had to go through a later loss).

I've been worrying today as my symptoms seem to be dropping off a bit but I'm trying not to worry too much because I seem to remember feeling a bit better around this time with DS. Also, I feel like I've just got used to the underlying feeling of nausea too so don't notice it quite so much.

I also try to remind myself that if there is a heartbeat at 8 weeks, the embryo has a 95% chance of going to term.

When all else fails, I try to remember that there is nothing I can do about it apart from try to get as much rest as I can and relax a bit (easier said than done).

Only a few weeks until the 11-13 week scan, hang on in there x

can't remember the exact stats to reassure you, but I remember the consultant telling me that if he saw a heartbeat at 8 weeks, your chances of a viable pregnancy at 13 and onwards were quite high. Try to stay positive, all will probably be ok

Cookie, all pregnancies are different, I am 20 weeks and have had no symptoms whatsoever, so if your symptoms are easing up earlier than expected , that is what is normal for YOU! Don't stress, enjoy being pregnant and make the most of not feeling sick for a day! hugs

I had no nausea with DD1 but with DD2 found it came and went after 8 or so weeks. Everytime I found myself worrying that the nausea had stopped and something might be wrong the next day I was absolutely floored with sickness. The result of all this worry is 6 months old now.

Once you've seen the heartbeat at 8 weeks you have something like a 93% chance of everything being fine. The odds are on your side.

Thank you all for your replies - I know I am being neurotic, but it's so difficult to be rational! Your replies are all very reassuring, thanks.

Cardi, Marmite and MummyFifi - best of luck to you x

I was about to post a similar question. I am 10w 4d and feel fine today, and felt fine yesterday, whereas I have had nausea for weeks. I am hoping it doesnt come back, but it also makes me very nervous... Had my booking in appt this morning, and the midwife did say it is normal for morning sickness to stop/ease at this stage.
Trying to stay positive time again...
