Hi Mums
Im new on here so hope im doing this right!
im expecting no4! i have 2 boys 8 and 6 and daughter 2.
Daughter will be 2 and 5months when no 4 is due!
Now she hates the buggy climbs out of all of them but she is a little independant when it comes to walking lol.. her way or no way lol. bearing this in mind and baby being due in winter. I find myself in a muddle about wether i feel i need a double buggy or not. I walk to 2 schools everyday so feel a double is neccesary or is it lol..
i feel i should use reins for her to keep her in the buggy and as it will be winter if its anything like last year she had a cough and cold more than not and snug in her bug was perfect...
Any recommendations please?
my list is
phil and ted vibe dash or sport
Britax b dual
she isnt heavy but quite tall... i do have big babies though 9 lber's lol.It will have to be 1 that i can also use as a single!!!
Thanks
any thoughts greatly apreciated.

hi - dont know if this helps or hinders decision making but this is my experience.

DS1 was 2 yrs and 8 months when DS2 was born. He is tall for his age but normal weight. Although DS1 walks a lot I thought the twice daily nursery trip might be too much for him - its about a mile to get there.

I'd bought a P&T's E3 (2nd hand but still v expensive!) beforehand, and also a Bibi Swiss Strolli Rider from ebay (also 2nd hand but still £50) Never thought he'd like a buggy board much.

I probably wouldnt have bothered with the Phil and Teds if Id known a) DS2 was going to be such a whopper (10lb 3) He didnt fit underneath for very long, and now we've had a long gap where we couldnt use it because at nearly 6 months he's still not comfortable on the double seat as its too upright for him ( I got a sport reclining seat for him and whilst thats better than the original seat, he's still uncomfortable in it and cant nap) So either DS1 walks or it stays in the garage (itt stays in the garage!)

Also in the winter, DS1 was too tall to use the hood/raincover, so it sort of sat on his head. Not terrible comfortable for him.

Now he's a bit older (was 3 beginning of March) he doesnt really need a buggy, but I use the strolli rider cos he's lazy and he loves it.

I wish I'd just stuck with this in the first place. The only issue with it is its hard work on the pusher if the paths arent particularly even where you live. I find though that he stays sitting on it because he likes the idea he's on a bike. It fits both our hauck infinity - which was great when the baby was little because it had a pram attachment, and still is now I've got the buggy seat on - and on our silver cross pop ( which I find more stable with the strolli rider - possibly because it has hard wheels not air tyres. )

In summary, the P&T for me was a waste of time.

If your toddler is tall he might struggle being in the P&T double seat at first, limited headroom. The Vibe has better headroom than the rest but I'd try him in one first to see.
As for buggy boards, most pram manufacturers will now class them as invalidating your warantee, as a non recognised addition. They can buckle frames.
Maybe get a cheaper double stroller type (maclaren or M&P pulse) for the school runs, not ideal for baby i know, but might be the best compromise for the school run.

Sorry she, not he!

I can only give you my experience.

Dd was 2.6yo when ds arrived (now 3.1yo), she too hated the buggy and insisted walking everywhere. I bought a secondhand Bugaboo and Buggy board which is very stable. I thought I could buy the Twoo seat as well if dd didn't like standing.

It's been a huge success, dd loves the board and it keeps her safe. It folds up when not in use as well.

But beware some other brands just fall apart, a friend bought her board from mothercare 2 months after me and it's already in the bin.

Thank you...
i really dont know what to do... I am onlt 4ft 11 and side by side doubles seem so much like hard work... specially with the hustle and bustle of the playgrounds lol..
i only have a 10 min gap between the 2 school which are a fair way aprt and crossing a busy main road too!! All this said i feel that allthough the vibe is probably my 1st choice and hubby agrees we have seen the new britax dual pics and i would be interested but review i have seen says i wou;d need to be tall.. i actually thought that was my answer as the babies can face each other and dughter would like that!!! Like i said all this said i only need it for the winter months!! I am happy that the re sale is good and this would make my hubby want to buy new!!!
i have a buggy board so thought that may be my answer but i find that hard being a midget lol... x
