dim question about twin pregnancy - can the cords knot each other?

I don't know enough anatomy and can't work it out from the pictures I've seen. I am carrying twins with separate placentas. Are the cords contained entirely within their sacs? Am worrying myself with all the position changing they're doing that they will knot cords round each other. Or is that impossible?

Thanks!

If they are within their own sacs and have their own placenta then no they can't knot each other as there is no direct contact between the cords.

this can only happen in the rarest of cases for certain types of identical twin pregnancy. monochorionic, mono amniotic or something, luckily I was monochorionic diamniotic - they spent a lot of time looking for the membrane that separates the two during scans. We all breathed a sigh of relief when they found it!
