fucky fuck fuck fuck.

Sorry.

Am a namechange.

I have a 5.5 month old. Exclusively breastfeeding. Not had a period yet. Had sex twice. Been on the mini pill. First time we had sex, had only taken the pill for 24 hours. So not fully covered. Second time. I had missed it the day before. Did not really think of it as had it in my head i had been bf'ing, so not really a problem.

So, so, so stupid. And now I am panicking, as I had forgotten all about it. Had some twinges in the last few days, bit like a period. Also, bit like how i felt with last baby (baby no.2). I have a bit of back ache. I have sharp pains in lower abdomen, not serious (ie ectopic) just enough to make me panic.

Also, feeling neasueas today, but not sure if that is due to worry. With both pgs so far, had horrendous sickness, this time nothing, so i am stressed.

Have no money til friday to by a test. family planning have not tests til friday available.

I am either 10 weeks, or 4 weeks.

Am bricking it.

Good idea about the piggy bank, have done it many times myself
Hope you get the answer you're after

Tikkabillajive · 26/04/2010 14:11

Good luck!

Beenabitsilly · 26/04/2010 14:13

Thank you. Thank you everyone for helping me to think a bit more clearly. I have worried over the weekend into a bit of a state really.

Beenabitsilly, I've been there. Honestly I have (and just said some lovely and very helpful things to me at the time incidentally) and know how you are feeling right now.

Hopefully the test will remove the possibility but if it doesn't, there are plenty of people on here that will help in any way you need.

Pepsiginn · 26/04/2010 16:57

What about the Family planning clinics? Do they do free tests?

HumanAtLeast · 26/04/2010 17:06

They do, but as op says, they have none till Friday.

Beenabitsilly, are you okay?

Pepsiginn · 26/04/2010 17:34

Oh. Oh dear. Sorry if i missed that! (pregnancy brain)

ciaobella19 · 26/04/2010 18:08

just read your post hope ur ok xx

ReshapeWhileDamp · 26/04/2010 18:21

Are you ok? Have you tested? I hope you're feeling alright, whatever the result was. TBH, if you were pregnant, those sorts of pains sound more like what you'd have just at 4-6 weeks than later. I don't know if that makes things easier for you...?

Hoping you're ok.

Beenabitsilly · 26/04/2010 20:19

hi, not tested yet. I have had an afternoon to test me - i am sure the gods are against me for some reason.

I went to get bread for lunch. I took DHs wallet, and promptly left it on the counter at the local shop, head elsewhere. It had the fiver in it for the test, and the twenty quid i borrowed for fuel so DH can get to his job interview! at myself. I never take his wallet, just his card. I called the shop when i got home, no, they deny seeing it at all. So DH has reported it stolen as I am 99% sure it was on the side (mainly reported as it has everything in it, driving licence etc, worried about id theft) and they can check CCTV to see if i was a proper airhead.

So, needless to say, I did not get the test. And DH is not really a happy bunny. So no chat, and no test. I will definitely be seeing the health visitor tomorrow, i am sure she will sort something for me.

I am so fed up right now. And have a stinking back/belly ache.

Oh poor you, what a bad ending to the day. I hope tomorrow brings better luck for you and the result you want.

HumanAtLeast · 26/04/2010 20:49

Oh no. Maybe somebody will hand it it?

Oh you've had a terrible day. Please, please CAT me if you want some free tests and the hv isn't helpful.

I'm so sorry you're having such a hard time.

Don't be cross with yourself. Your mind was elsewhere.

Can your DH get a lift to the interview?

justallovertheplace · 26/04/2010 21:06

The offer still stands. If you're going to be in town tomorrow CAT me and I can slip you a fiver. We can make it look like the worst drug deal in history

Octaviapink · 27/04/2010 07:45

Beenabitsilly how are you doing? Hate to think of you stressing about this.

Tikkabillajive · 27/04/2010 11:52

Hope you are ok Beenabitsilly.

beenabitsilly · 27/04/2010 15:37

Sorry everyone, been a bit hectic here.

I managed to borrow some money from a friend to buy a test today, as HV said the tests they do have to be sent off and it will not be back before friday anyway.

I am not pregnant. BUT, i will do another one next week, just to be sure, as if i were to have been, it could have been 10 wks or around 4, and the around 4 might not show up yet? (it did last time, but best worth checking).

I had a heart stopping 10 mins though. I bought a cheap boots one, went to local cafe who let me use their toilets 'to change ds' and a bright pink line immediately showed. Instant. I read, and re-read the test and it clearly showed i was pregnant. OMFG was my reaction, plus all the scenarios, plus how i could not tell DH til tomorrow after his job interview (in the morning) i was shaking, and sweating and walked back to the car in shock but also thinking 'why surprised, you thought you were' and then back in the car, sat there contemplating the future, then re-read the test, still said the same then calmed myself down and read it clearly and slowly. The 'down' line was the test function line, saying it was working. It was the box 'next' to it which determined pregnancy. That was completely clear. At that point, i did a double take and then I cried.

Thank you all so so much for helping me get through the last day. You have all been so supportive and not judgy and it has helped keep me calm.

I now have an appt next week to have the implant re-fitted so this does not become a result i would not be so pleased with.

beenabitsilly · 27/04/2010 15:40

logically, that lack of sickness made me think i was not pregnant, as with both previous pegnancies i suffered with horrendous sickness. But, last pg i was vomitting pretty much immediately (2 weeks from actual conception) but with my first pg, from around 6-7wks, so thought i could not go on that as a guide.

I guess, I am about to have a quite unpleasant period soon.

Tikkabillajive · 27/04/2010 16:06

I'm so relieved for you . Hope you can go and do something nice this afternoon, like sit in the sunshine and think calm thoughts!

beenabitsilly · 27/04/2010 16:19

Alas, I have not been able to enjoy the sunshine, as I had to have some lunch, DS is fast asleep {yey} and DH needs his suit ironed for tomorrow and then DD needs getting from nursery.

I told him. Mainly as I was meant to put petrol in the car (friend lent us money for that too, she knows about the wallet being lost) and was a bit about the whole thing really, and he asked if i was ok, and said i looked terrible! So, seeing as it all worked out ok, i told him. Should have seen the look on his face when he heard the word 'pregnancy test', he did not hear anything else, i had to repeat that i was NOT pregnant to him.

Tomorrow, after he has been to his interview, we will take DD to the beach as she is not in nursery.

I feel calmer now, but actually my nerves feel pretty shot to shit! I could do with a stiff drink.

OP posts:
ReshapeWhileDamp · 27/04/2010 17:25

Well, you can have one, now! A drink, that is.

I think even at 4 weeks, you'd likely have had a faint line if you were pregnant. Sorry about the wallet - what a nightmare!

Octaviapink · 27/04/2010 17:56

Have that drink!

beenabitsilly · 28/04/2010 09:50

alas no drink til friday...out of wine! but then a large glass!
