Just had positive test result !!! oh my god... I hadn't a clue... DD is 14 months and I only just stopped her evening bf a couple of nights ago. Thought I hadn't got my periods back because of that but somewhere along the line I obviously bloody CONCEIVED!! ! oh what a red herring. No symptoms at all, more fool me for not considering this as last time with DD I didn't realise till I was 7 weeks.

How pg am I then???

I haven't had a period since we got married 2 years ago!

(We were trying btw, this is mad discovery...DH not home yet...)

I'm well thanks BB... still no sickness or anything but didn't suffer from that last time either. Have dr. app. tomorrow so maybe will get a dating scan. How's yourself? Is dh a bit more on-side now?

DH is much better now, thanks. He has definately come to terms with it all, and we have started talking pans! Decided to have loft conversion and have started thinking what people carrier to get - WOW! What an improvement! Even talked to him about names (although very early days, but concerned we won't have a boys name coz we've used all the ones we both like!!). So, yes, I can safely say DH is on side

Oh totally fine Baggy, sorry to leave a gap! Was at my mum's for the night yesterday.

Dr. was fine, boring! said they would assume me to be 4-7 weeks pg and will forward that to local mat. hosp. who will in their wisdom allocate me a "Twelve Week Scan". No dating scan. bo-ring! Had hoped I would feel a bit more pg after the doc visit but actually don't.

I always thought doctors were meant to be intelligent people!!??!! How can you be given a 12 week scan????

Had same problem with DS3. I had no idea how far gone i was as i'd had no period to go by. So saw midwife who kindly gave me a form to take straight to xray for a scan. When i got there the woman said "when will you be 12 weeks?". I said i didn't know and this was for a scan to tell me how far gone i was. She was really a*sey, and kept telling me the form was for a dating scan which is a twelve week scan. I nearly had to fet her in a head lock to make her read what the midwife had written on the form!! Finally got my way () and had a scan 2 day later (i was 7 weeks btw!!)

Anyway, did you have a nice time at your mums??? Does she know?? Did she look after you??

Everything is fine here. Don't feel too sick today (worrying) but peeing for britain and boobs are beginning to get a bit sore. Oh the joys of pregnancy !

Oh yes BB all well. Thanks for your concern! DD is at c/minders this am and I ought to be... oh you know, washing, paying bills...all that. Heigh ho. Think I will do another test tho. I know it's daft (and expensive!) but I just cannot believe I am actually pg. Oh if only I was sick! would give me some evidence!

I did tell mum, and family generally, but she had a friend staying whom I didn't want to know yet so it wasn't a big deal. Of course they are all delighted, it is lovely. DD was first grandchild.

Test came up good and positive. quickly too. how daft - will prob. need to do one every second day!

Congrats Spots!!! Such good news. You're going to have a great age gap IMHO.

Don't worry bout doing loads of tests! i did loads with all of mine!! This one i've done 5!! first one was neg, second i could see aline but friend couldn't, third one was a very faint line, forth def line, fifth was for my reassurance. Mad aren't we!! Thinking of doing another one coz symptoms seen to have gone away today.

Glad family are happy. But don't wish the sickness on - i might mind you moaning about vomming too much later!! !!!!
