I had a midwife appointment yesterday and was sent up to the hospital as my blood pressure was high. It was ok while I was there so they took blood tests and sent me home saying they would only call if there was something wrong. Heard nothing for 24 hours then the phone rang about 3/4 hour ago but by the time I had found it (down back of couch) they had gone! I called the maternity unit back and she just said oh they "use a different computer system in day care" but when I said it was for the preeclampsia one she said she would look into. No one has called back yet and now im just going mad actually shaking - I have had preeclampsia three times and reallllly dont fancy any problems comign up this early (I am 25 weeks now and was at least 34 with problems before).

So far I have told myself it could be:

  1. them saying "its fine dotn worry"
  2. something totally unrelated
  3. I need iron tablets or something

quick calm me down! why would they phone

Oh no, can you phone them back and just tell them how worried you are? I am sure they would be able to tell you what it is likely to be.

The hospital rang me during pregnancy to tell me I had a prescription for iron tablets so it could well be that.

If they didn't leave a message asking for you to urgently contact them then it's probably not urgent. Try and keep calm. I hope they get back to you soon.
