Hi! I'm 38+3, and have been in hospital since Tuesday, because my baby was discovered to be transverse, with feet presenting. After much deliberation, I refused an ecv, opting instead for an elective section. problem is, the soonest they can fit me in is 39+4.
I was given the option to come home, on the condition that I rest completely, and always have someone with me who can drive me straight to hospital at the first sign of labour. (this would mean an emergency section)
I've come home, but I'm now panicking about the possibility of a prolapsed cord or other problems which could endanger the baby.
Can anyone give me advice/reassurance?
Has anyone had experience of this?
