I've posted enough on these threads - didn't want to be the one to start one!

I have no immunity to cp and immunisation didn't work pre-pregnancy. Ds has come out in spots today after classic flu-ey symptoms. I am 33-34 weeks. DOc is arranging to get immunoglobulin for me, hopefully tomorrow.
But I am so scared. This has been a really bad pregnangy - hyperemesis at the start, ds having slapped cheek, pelvic problems. I am near the end now and terrified I come out in spots in a few weeks or so when baby is due. Incubation for sp is 14-21 days so there is a chance theat if baby is a bit early like ds that I will give it to the baby and the risk of mortality in that case is 25 %. I dont know how to get through this.

Oh dear, that's how it started for me spots on the trunk and a cracking one on my neck. You'll know by this morning, they'll be fluid filled by now if that's what they are. Get the to the docs asap! Let us know how you get on x

Got an appointment at 10.20.
My stomach, sides, shoulders adn neck are covered - some are fluid filled, some just red.
Guess I'll be stocking up on the calamine lotion... Bloody itchy.
Just grateful I haven't felt ill - well, no iller than usual at this stage in pregnancy!

Aargh, so itchy!

I have got anti-viral drugs to take, so hopefully that'll stop it getting worse and prevent me feeling iller. If this is the worst of it, then I am relieved so fingers crossed. Thanks for your help everyone.

I hope the anti virals do their magic. How are you?

A bit grim tbh.
Yesterday was awful - not quite so bad today. I can occassionally get comfortable.
Not too worried about baby though thankfully. Still wee niggles at the back of my mind, but much better than if I had not had support here.

Sorry - I've not been able to check back in. I hope you're feeling more comfortable now.

Just seen this thread and wanted to post as I had CP a few weeks ago (now 35 wks). I feel your pain (and itchiness) as it really floored me despite having the immunoglobulin and anti virals. Hope you feel better soon x

Thanks for the replies.

I am feeling more comfortable now thank goodness. Sleeping a lot! Hopefully the worst bit is over now.
