Hey guys,

I'm at 7 weeks now and I'm having some rather embarrassing issues with bloatedness and wind?

Is this normal? Does it get better or is there worse to come?

Sounds familiar!! Am now 17 weeks and I've had weeks when I've been better and weeks when things have been worse . I think it's yet another part of the fun of pregnancy . BTW - congratulations!

Oh yes, I started a thread on this a few weeks ago! I was becoming very unpopular at home, and I think the gas board even considered evacuating the street at one point...

My anti social behaviour has got better, but I am now banned from high fibre cereals (shreddies, weetabix etc) as they seem to make matters worse. (I'm 12 weeks now).

Congrats on the pregnancy, and may the wind be with you.

Thanks!

Lol it's so embarrassing, isn't it! :-)

A bit congrats to you too! Hope I can get to 17 weeks nice and easy and with no complications!

How was your morning sickness? I guess it's all over for you now?

Mine is all gone, which is a blessed relief I can tell you. I felt sick all day and all night long. Feeling much brighter and better now, loads more energy too.

cardamomginger · 22/04/2010 19:10

Yes, it is rather embarrassing - DH has a list of banned foods for me too . Am very fortunate that I didn't have any real sickness - just some occasional and mild nausea particularly if I let myself get hungry. That went by about 11 weeks. Energy has picked up too - although still have my days when I feel REALLY tired for no apparent reason whatsoever. Glad you are feeling better now mavies, and hope you aren't suffering too badly Leyla. Always better out than in!

Lutyens · 22/04/2010 19:39

Same here. And it's coming out both ways in my case! It's a bit embarrassing, to put it mildly

nunnie · 22/04/2010 19:46

Me too, I had it with my first too.

Silent but rather pongy early on, but got alot louder when I got further on and by the last few weeks, I had no control, my hubby was quite shocked and I was quite .

I am 13 weeks now with #2 and have all that to look forward to again .

Think it is quite a common symptom.

LeylaHP · 23/04/2010 16:31

Lol me to Lutyens!! Thanks cardamomginger. Loving the nickname! :-)

It seems to be a common symptom!

For some reason my nausea has disappeared, but it might be down to drinking copious amounts of ginger ale.

Anyone have any special foods/drinks that keeps their nausea at bay?

Congrats to all of you btw
