Hi

I tested last Satyrday on a non-digital test and got my BFP after fertility treatment. I re-tested on Sunday evening with a Clearblue Digital and got 3+ on the diplay which would correctly have made me just over 5 weeks.

Last night my only symptom of sore boobs disappeared and because I had a missed miscarriage last year where the same thing happened I tested again on a Clearblue digital this morning and now it's reading 2-3 instead of 3+ which means the test thinks I am 4-5 weeks when actually I will be 6 weeks on Sunday.

Is this bad news

I have a scan in 2 weeks when I will be 7 +5 and am not keen on having onoe any earlier as I want to be sure about the heartbeat as last time I had to have an agonising wait for a second scan to confirm the miscarriage.

Just saw this thread. Pleased all ok and am thinking of you. X

mumatron · 17/04/2010 09:44

df that is the impression i got aswell. even as a self funding patient i felt like a was a bit of an inconvenience to them.

still, cant argue with the results there can you??

how are you feeling today?

not quite ready to join a thread yet but im sure i will soon.

DuelingFanjo · 17/04/2010 12:18

I am feeling ok, how about you?

I was talking to my husband earlier about the baby and we seem to end or start every conversation with 'if this all works out ok..'

we're just not able to celebrate or be positive yet because we know it could all go wrong. Am dreading the scan and the 2 weeks are going to go so slowly. I just hope we do get good news. I want to be able to celebrate my pregnancy properly.

im ok, paranoid over ever little thing already.

i'm just taking it one hour day at a time.

hope the next 2 weeks fly past for you. i will ask for a scan at 9 weeks, so at least 5 to go here

only problem is that the epau at the uhw will only do early scans if you show any signs of mc-ing that pregnancy, irrelevant of how many losses you have had before.

so will have a fight on my hands to get seen.

yellowflowers · 19/04/2010 12:58

me too duelingfanjo - I preface everythin gwith 'if this works out' as don't want to tempt fate!

DuelingFanjo · 19/04/2010 13:04

Crap isn't it
I so want the freedom to just enjoy it but instead I always have that little thought in my head that it may go wrong.

mumatron that's rubbish about the EPU. When I had my miscarriage and had to go up there for the second scan, to confirm it was definitely going to miscarry, the doctor I saw told me she thought early scans were a bad idea and caused too much stress. She didn't seem to realise that IVF Wales always give you an early scan if you are pregnant through fertility treatment.

i suppose early scans can be a bit stressful, but i know for me, if i had to wait for a 12 week scan after losing 3 at 8+ weeks i would go loopy!

I just had a look at the epau guidelines and i should be entitled to an early scan, as i have had more than 2 first trimester losses.

hope they dont put up too much of a fight this time.

im seeing a consultant privately so may just get scanned there instead.

Hi,

I have no idea if you still use mumsnet but thought I'd give this is a try! I am 6 weeks pregnant, after a miscarriage 3 months ago. I recently took a clearblue digi and got 3+, three days later I did another one and it has gone down to 2-3 weeks. My only symptom was slightly sore boobs which have also nearly gone.

I'm obviously panicking following my m/c thinking my HCG levels are dropping and because I have zero symptoms. I googled it and found your post from 2010! We seem to be in exactly the same position....I'm just wondering if it worked out ok for you?

Thanks so much!

L
