Am I feeling the baby already?

I'm 11 weeks 3 days into my third pregnancy, and since last night I've been feeling something in my belly, low down sort of above my knicker-line in the centre-right of my belly, the best way I can describe it is like a rippling but it feels really deep inside me. Surely it's far too early to be the baby moving????? I haven't been pregnant for ten years, but I'm sure it was around 14-16 weeks when I began to feel movements with my other babies...???? Or can they be felt this early?

Bluesunday, I have just posted exactly the same thing. I am also expecting dc3 and currently I am 10.5 weeks.
With my other 2 I felt movement at 14 weeks but then nothing until 17 weeks. This time I can feel a fluttering sensation, I can't think what else it could be other than the baby moving.
It will be interesting to see what others have to say as it certainly feels very real to me.

Maybe you feel them earlier with subsequent pregnancies? The more I Google the subject the less ikely it seems tha it is the baby I'm feeling, but I know what trapped wind feels like, and it's not that!

Apparently you do feel them earlier in subsequent pgs but from what I've googled everything refers to 13 or 14 wks being the earliest. I was looking it up this morning as been feeling little kick-like feelings, at 14 wks.

MadameCheese · 15/04/2010 12:22

I thought mine was wind

nunnie · 15/04/2010 12:24

Mine is wind x

catbus · 15/04/2010 12:26

Yes it's possible and big rasperries to those who say otherwise. Felt DC1 at about 16 wks, DC2 at about 13 wks. Felt my DC3 at about 11 weeks, in much the same way. Then around 12 wks, he used to push himself up hard like a little tennis ball.
Felt this one, DC4 at same time, although nothing again for a while. MW said absolutely; given previous pgs, you will know what you're feeling, and be able to distinguish between movements and wind!
MW also said much more likely in subsequent pgs. HTH..

Mine is definatly wind, I know from what follows .
I am sure I will know movements they feel slightly more full on than wind to me. I am a wind expert at the moment

catbus · 15/04/2010 12:32

Oh too true nunnie..sometimes you do have to sit there and wonder if you're brewing for a massive fart or not..

MadameCheese · 15/04/2010 12:32

I'm not saying otherwise , I don't know what you're feeling but I expect it feels very different

Tinasan · 15/04/2010 12:36

hmm personally I don't think it's possible as early as 11 weeks - the baby is still absolutely tiny and also it needs to be strong enough to kick hard enough on the uterus to make it touch the stomach muscles (as the uterus has no nerve endings). I am definitely NOT pregnant at the moment but sometimes I swear I can feel little bubbly movements, like the first ones you feel at around 4 months! Loads of others have said the same thing - once you've been pregnant, you know the feeling of movement and tend to attribute anything similar to the baby, when there's loads of things it could be. It's probably wind, or else your insides shifting about a bit as the uterus expands.

I've been farting like my nan throughout this pregnancy,so I consider myself a bit of an expert too. This feels different, it's lower down and doesn't go once I've SBV'd. Fart pains are quite sharp as well, whereas early-baby movements are soft and fluttery, from what I remember..? I'm just trying to convince myself now...

I've been wondering a similar thing - am 11 weeks with no 2 and I swear earlier this week I felt a kind of fluid-y flip-over - exactly as though something had somersaulted low in my belly. Very odd!

nunnie · 15/04/2010 13:09

That's how I remember baby movements to be like a ride where you leave your stomach at the top, that kind of flip over feeling. Wind to me is just a bubbly stomach. My first experience of my baby moving last time was that flip feeling and then a sudden wave of nausea just like I'd been on a big dipper. Not had that yet in this pregnancy 11 weeks.

GJ91 · 15/04/2010 13:26

Could well be possible but I didnt think that the uterus had even begun to move out the pelvis by that time?
But it is meant to be earlier for subsequent pregnancies

MadameCheese · 15/04/2010 13:29

LOL Blue farting like your nan
