More is it normal... - 5 weeks pregnant and peeing far less than usual

Hi,

I know all about the peeing more than usual thing as a pregnancy symptom but I think I am peeing less than usual - both less often and less pee. I am drinking plenty.

Usually I go to the loo all the time and friends joke about weak bladder, so I expected it to stay the same or get worse. But I am going far less than usual and not at all during the night.

Is this an ominous sign?

It would usually be a sign of possible dehydration but if you are drinking plenty then that shouldn't be a worry. Are you suffering from morning sickness?

I am, but in the evening not in the morning. I also have no appetite (though am making myself eat). Have an appt with the nurse on Monday (am registering with a new doctor and have to see nurse) so will check with her then too.

I've had that both times (now 8 weeks pg with DC2). Have assumed it's because I need extra fluid to make all the new blood. And, unlike in lots of women, my growing uterus doesn't seem to squish my bladder.

BUT... if you start weeing much less, abnormally little, that'd be a bad sign of something wrong with your waterworks and you'd need to get to dr.

If you are being sick lots this will dehydrate you so you need to drink even more to keep yourself hydrated (little sips, frequently, to maximise chances of keeping it down!).
