I used the tesco ones (£7 for 7) and they seemed accurate...if getting pg first month of using them is anything to go by!

We used the Boots own brand ones - 13 mths of TTC and then pg straight away the 1st mth of using these! (cld be just coincidence, obv...) . If you are unsure of your cycle you need for the first months to just use a stick every day until you get a "positive" (which may involve using more than one pack). Good luck!

Asda's own brand work fine

We used the Clearblue digital system (you buy the monitor and the test sticks separately). Downer is that it DOES work out expensive, mainly because of the cost of the monitor - we found the cheapest place to get both the monitor and the test sticks was Amazon. We went for this system because it gives you more information about your cycle, telling you both when your peak fertility days are and when your high (not peak, but still pretty good chance of pregnancy) fertility days are. Based on the information it records about your previous cycles it tells you when you need to use the test sticks - so if you have an irregular cycle this can be helpful. We found it very helpful - turned out my ovulation was completely not when we thought it was. And we found out that my ovulation days were irregular.
Don't know how to post a link (sorry!) but there's more info about this system on the Clearblue website www.clearblue.com
Good luck!

i think this should really be in the conception thread....however felt compelled to replay when i saw tesco ovulation sticks are £7 for 7 sticks......this is outrageously expensive.
I bought 50 sticks online for approx £10.....if you look online you'll find somewhere that sells them. They are a cardboard stick with a green coloured end. They come with instructions and are easy to use. They are the same as the more expensive sticks but don't have the glossy packaging (which you don't need.)
You may need to use a lot of sticks if your cycle is irregular/unreliable......so cost can be important.
I have 2 children as a result of using these sticks.....so they work!
Also FYI they also sell pregnany sticks online also.....with a blue coloured end....again you get 5 sticks for a small fee.....absolutely no need to buy expensive clearblue tests etc.....all you are paying for is the plastic packaging and the visibility of the words pg/not pg.
good luck.
