Do movements *decrease* towards the end?

Some people have told me they do, some are adamant they should feel more intense because of lack of space. I'm 35 weeks and obviously I'll go to DAU if I get any concerns about movements, but just interested to be prepared for the next few weeks. Thanks

My dd's movements got more restricted but stronger, if you see what I mean. Rather than a solid kick where she'd had a bit of a run-up, it would be more like a stretch-out of a leg, pushing on my tummy rather than thumping it. As long as you get roughly ten movements per hour - count every wriggle - then everything's fine. If dc is asleep you can also wake him/her up for a wriggle if you're worried - my dd used to wake up without fail if I tried to sleep on my right side, and create a storm of protest - elbows, knees, the lot.

less room to move but lots of very strong kicks - i have an anterior placenta so i only feel kicks at the sides though.
