do i need to wash brand new clothes for baby before he's born?

title says it all really...just wondered how many of you actually wash ur brand new clothes before they go on the baby...because although id rather wash it all, what if he isnt a he and iv taken all the tags off!!

I know loads of people who do it, why I don't know, I've never seen a newborn lick a wardrobe.

By the time my two went into a cot they were old enough to be crawling around chewing goodness knows what so I couldn't see the point.

No I don't think you should do it. But this time round I will occasionally clean the cot! (still need to get all the mould off, euew)
