And perhaps I am annoying them? By being pregnant perhaps? I don't know. I don't think I talk about it all the time though...

But I am finding it soooooo hard to keep my mouth shut when they say things like "millions of people have been pregnant"- I know but I'm allowed to be worried right?
or "loads of pregnant people worry" yes ok so am I allowed to?
I don't know, they're just not very reassuring, I've already found myself migrating to friends who HAVE been pregnant... it's really bad as these are my best friends but they just have no clue what to say to me anymore.

And they keep talking about "getting hammered", and how they will drink for me at my hen do... am I being really bad in thinking they just don't get it? I want them to have fun but... It does still suck not being able to drink and go out!

This is about the millionth moan I've had on here so feel free to ignore me, I am feeling soooooooo moany at the moment!! and noone understands me!!

who doesn't like the thread?

I like the thread .

I was the first of all my friends to get pregnant. They were lovely. But I never said preggers.

Its just a theory.

My friends say preggers. So if I did say it I can't see why they'd object.
This is fascinating.

preggers, pregnant, up the duff, cooking a bun....WHATEVER!

Can we get back to this very interesting thread please?

dappymoo · 08/04/2010 12:12

yes!
How annoying are your friends?

Actually mine have calmed down a bit now, I think maybe it was the whole thing about "ruining the ethos of the gang", ie. not drinking and pulling perhaps...

But I guess it's just another part of getting older, and your friends change as your interests/ experiences change... I know they'll still be fab "aunties", it's just a different time for all of us.

I?m so glad I clicked on this thread ? cheered me up immensely!

Never have I related to a phrase more: ?I'm 29 but friends are proper Londoners and not at all settled... I'm the "married" in the suburbs? ? I?m in totally the same situation and my friends are driving me up the wall.

The Easter wkend tipped me over the edge ? my friends went on two nights out (remember them?!) and invited my husband? but not me (it?s ok, he didn?t go, he sensed the danger!). I was invited to the evening in with pizza and a film though? which appears to be their verdict of the type of social life I?m not capable of. I?m feeling an irrational quantity of loathing for my closest friends currently ? glad to know this is totally normal though

Can?t wait until they eventually reach the same stage as me ? at which point I assume I have the right to point, laugh and drink all their booze, right?!
