EPU at St Thomas's in London

According to the Association of EPUs website it's open 24/7, but unfortunately it doesn't give a telephone number. Does anyone have any info or experience? Do you know if I can just turn up or if I need a referral? Any advice would be much appreciated.

No experience I'm afraid, but if you are very worried about something today, go to A&E and they will see you there...IME if you are pregnant and anxious you uually get bumped up the queue as well

It was a few years ago, but I self referred by going in via A&E (I had bad bouts of bleeding when pregnant with DS1 and DS2) The triage Nurse would usually ring them, then send me straight up. I'm really pleased to hear it's open 24/7 now - when I was going it was only open 8-1pm, weekdays and although they were lovely it was horrible if I had a badly timed bleed.

I had to go last year but the opening times had changed to 8am to 8pm.

I went last Sunday - as cubed says it's only open between 8am and 8pm (they say temporarily).

There's no sonographer available at the weekend so I had urine, bloods and exam done on the Sunday and then booked back in for a scan last Tuesday.

You can ring or just turn up (8th Floor in the North Wing). They were very nice.

Thanks for all the advice. I've had fairly bad cramping all day, but no bleeding or spotting yet (I'm 7+5 weeks). I going to see how I feel tomorrow and maybe go along. I'm so worried and I just need someone to hold my hand. Thanks again.
