33 weeks - feeling under the weather

I spent last weekend in hospital because baby was threatening to come early. In the end I was given steroid injections and told to go home and take it easy and wait and see.
It's been a really weird week!
I've had no bleeding. Some contractions, but not really painful and not regular. I have a lot of discomfort, including intense and quite painful pressure on my bowel and bladder, and some twingey period-like pain & back ache.
Since yesterday I haven't been feeling too well. Nauseous, headache, tired and generally a bit yuk!
I wish I knew what was happening. I feel I'm becoming obsessed with the whole will she/won't she come early and I can't think about much else!
We've been told if she comes now she will be fine so I'm not exactly scared, just can't imagine spending the next six weeks feeling like this!

Oh no poor you! im in the same sort of boat... im 33 weeks and since wednesday i've been contracting on and off, much worse in the evenings to point where i cant sleep through them but by the morning they've gone! backache, period pains the works... i very almost called the hospital on wednesday night becuase they got that bad but then they just stopped. its really fustrating and after talking to a few friends they said they went into early labour but it didn't ever come to anything and it was on and off until the due date and beyond!
Im hoping this isn't the case of me (or for you!)
can i ask, did you go into hospital becuase of regular contractions or a mix of things?

Sorry to hear you're suffering as well!
The main reason I phoned the midwife was because I had a show (passed the mucous plug) which I know can sometimes be a signal of labour starting (but not always).
They got me in for observation and to check my cervix (which wasn't dilated) and because I had some pain they kept me for 24 hours and decided to give the steroid jabs just in case.
I would always suggest calling your midwife if you're not sure about something, even if it seems silly or unimportant. They can soon put your mind at rest if it's nothing.
Hope things go well for you from here on in I'm off to try and find a way to get comfortable!!

Well, I feel a lot better this morning! In fact I'm full of energy and the need to do stuff... which is very unusual of late! Now if I could only stop bursting into tears every 10 minutes for no reason I might get something done ;)

Could it have been due to the steroid injections partly I wonder? Anyway, glad you're feeling better

Maybe! I hadn't thought of that
