bear with me on this one, but...

I can't stand the smell of my once-favourite fabric conditioner. In fact, anything which smells sweet makes me gag

Can anyone recommend a product that doesn't smell?!

No but I am exactly the same. Persil laundry detergent is doing my head in!!

In my last pregnancy, I thought of coming up with a line of laurdy detergents/deoderants/shampoos, etc that were fragrance-free but then my MS got better and I forgot about it. Pregnant again and am reconsidering idea!!!

FWIW, I have found that Fairy doesn't smell as atrocious (to me anyway).

laundry even

parkj83 · 22/03/2010 11:46

I don't mind the detergent; I can handle that. I use either Ariel, or Aldi's own, depending on the time of the month

It's the fabric conditioner - I use Lenor, and I have in the pink, DH and DS use the blue one.

And I find the blue one smells like sh*t to me!!

Never bothered me before, I'd happily use it before I was pg.

I'm finding the same with my shampoo and conditioner. I use fruity ones normally, and I've had to switch to my tea tree ones to be able to wash my hair

Does any one do a tea tree fabric conditioner?! LOL!

As a rule, it's anything which smells sweet normally.

Yes ecover products don't leave a smell, and are kind to the planet to boot. TBH don't know how you can stand smelly laundry products anyway, they make me retch!

dairymoo · 23/03/2010 17:58

I did wonder about Ecover but we used to have the handwash at work and that smelled really horrible (to my pg brain!)...perhaps the laundry products are better.

I know exactly how you feel!

I went to stay with my Mum before I knew I was pregnant and I stripped the bed and next morning asked what on earth she had sprayed or spilt on the bed to make it smell so bad. Turned out it was freshly washed with some new expensive fabric conditioner bought especially for my stay!

I stopped using fabric conditioner until about week 24! I also use Ecover now and really like it.

parkj83 · 23/03/2010 21:06

Yup, I've completely stopped using it for myself. DH has to wash his and DS's things separately, and when the tumble dryer's going, (it's in the bedroom) I have to shut the door on it, and also have the window open, so that the smell doesn't linger !!

I'll definitely look for Ecover products tho,

thanks ladies xx
