Sex during pregnancy - anyone care to share?

Hi,
Anyone care to share how they manage to have comfortable sex during pregnancy? Normally, we use the missionary position - just what works for us. I'm not a fan of being on top as I feel like a big whale right now. From behind can be tough as we have quite a big height difference so then we're left with the doggy position which frankly I'm not mad about either. Any other ideas??

whirleywoo72 · 23/03/2010 14:35

well, im 13 wks pregnant, and mine and my hubbys postion is doggy, its easier, and my nipples are that hot, he only has to touch them and im up for it, poor bloke, he never know what is in store for him, ,we been like it like rabbits. xx

BranflakeGirl · 23/03/2010 19:33

nunnie - I hate to imagine how (or why) that was discovered! Lol!!

Mouseplus1 · 23/03/2010 19:57

Sex...what sex.

havent had a peep of it for 8 months now.

DH says he cant get away from the fact that theres a baby in my belly and as such he just cant get his head around a bit of hows your father.(he has however commented on how lovely I look pregnant and gives me lots of kisses so not all bad)

I on the other hand am extremely up for it and have to do-it-myself after my lovely bath on Sundays....well, 8 months is a bloody long time

my boyfriend doesn't want to. it's quite depressing when 4 months ago all i had to do was LOOK at him in a particular way and now it takes hours of coaxing, and often he tells me he's "tired". pfft. im 18! too young to feel past it surely??

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 27/03/2010 13:00

Sex? In pregnancy? Are you mad?!

Tried it once early on, uncomfortable and unsatisfying for all involved. Haven't tried since. Mostly I wasn't interested.

Am now 37 weeks and very interested but the mechanics of it, and the fact that I get tired really quickly has just put me off.

Guess I'll have sex again when the DC to be moves out of home.

rimsky · 28/03/2010 19:07

I'm with ItsAllGoingToBeFine, I'm 15 wks and have had no interest in sex whatsoever.

I find this very distressing as I had a very high sex drive before!!! I'm beginning to worry that my libido will never come back...

Liza1980 · 29/03/2010 12:39

we do me laying with my legs over his waste while he lays on his side facing me, it's a little tricky to master at first but once you do it's easy, and the bump doesn't get in the way in the slightest xx

dappymoo · 29/03/2010 12:55

Has anyone else got majorly randy? I think I'm starting to scare my boyfriend!

nunnie · 29/03/2010 13:05

My DH won't do it until after 12 weeks, then I am not sure if it to do with choice or my sex madness getting the better of him, he can't say no really, so only 3/4 weeks to go yipppeeeee

Liza1980 · 29/03/2010 13:09

I so don't fancy it right now and usually want it loads, my Hubby also wont do it until later in the pregnancy and it's actually a relief, i have not ever not wanted sex for as long as i can remember, the above position was from my first pregnancy.

virgo1979 · 31/03/2010 14:55

I find i am VERY dry down below - can anyone recomemend any lubes that are safe to use whilst pregnant? Have had a look at usual Durex ones and they dont state on whether they are safe or not to use.....

MudandRoses · 31/03/2010 20:08

virgo me too, have to get properly turned on before even attempting sex and even then it can hurt. Im sure lubes are fine tho, they're pretty non-reactive.

We also do 'side spoon' type position, him on his side, me on my back, legs over his thighs of one between his legs one over. actually thats our preferred position anyway, it's good for manual interraction before penetration (and during!) IYKWIM!

gemcgem · 01/04/2010 14:12

im 25 weeks an just carn't go there!! baby moves an thats it puts be right off !!

Octaviapink · 01/04/2010 16:30

Scissor-style! You on your back with one of his legs between yours and your top leg between his. Was far the easiest for us. You have to have your top halves quite far apart though.

ray81 · 01/04/2010 16:47

Sex whats that? and i dont think Dh is realy up for it, he used to wisle at me when naked, not anymore. am 37 weeks and finding am feeling up for it but have got the energy. Oh the Joys!!!!
