Really sore feet - any magic cures?

I'm 30 weeks, and over the last week so my feet have been getting sorer and sorer every day. It's now got to the point where they're really sore from the moment I get out of bed in the morning and just get worse as the day goes on.

The pain is down the outside of my feet and the balls of my feet and it feels like I've either been walking for miles or standing on my feet all day. Neither of which is the case! I wear fairly sensible shoes I think, mainly flat trainers or clarks boots with a bit of a wedge heel, so it's not like I'm forcing my fat pregnant feet into dodgy shoes but nothing helps.

I'm starting to get very grumpy at the thought of hobbling for the next 10-12 weeks so if anyone got any suggestions for a magic cure I'd be very grateful!

oh honey I feel your pain, literally!!! I am 28 weeks and my feet hurt like hell, exactly like you described. I am sitting on my bed right now after having taken off my sensible shoes and they are still really throbbing, ouch!!! I too would welcome any suggestions!!! Anybody??

I love the Clarins Energising Emulsion (Lait Jambes Lourdes). Its fantastic stuff and one bottle lasted for both of my pregnancies. The assistant said they sell loads of it to pregnant women.

I went to see a podiatrist in the end this afternoon to see what they'd say and she reckoned the problem was stretched ligaments/fluid retention in my feet that were causing the bones to spread out when I take my shoes off or sit down for a while. Something like that anyway, I kind of drifted in and out of her explanation but that was the gist! Seemed to make sense though as mine do improve when I walk around for a bit.

Her advice was to buy some poron insoles from www.cosyfeet.com to act as shock absorbers for some of the extra weight and to keep sensible shoes on at all times (apart from in bed).

Bit of a pain because I usually like to walk around bare foot, but I'm willing to give it a go. I'll let you know if it works bagelmonster!
