I am 11 weeks preganant and had light spotting (brown) yesterday and today. I also have slight stomach pains (just uncomfortable, not too bad). Has anybody else had this? I'm not sure if it is anything to worry about or not? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Last night I had bad pain in my lower belly (I'm 11wks & 1 day pregnant) I was out walking and noticed some fluid coming out of me. I went home and wiped myself (TMI - sorry) it was a hint of pink. I wore a panty liner to bed and it's marked brown (fluid). I've been crying this morning as I don't know what to do! It's my first pregnancy & I'm in my 40's.... This wasn't planned but we are happy about the pregnancy. Any help would be really appreciated x

Hi FirstTime,
Brown spotting is fine and quite common. I had it too and freaked out (Dd is now sleeping beside me) If you were having a miscarriage you would have bright red blood. Congratulations!

Ring the EPU unit and ask for a scan. Whilst brown spotting can be normal it can also be a sign something is wrong. Always best to get checked to put your mind at rest x

Thank you for the replies all. Really appreciate it... I spent 7 hours in hospital today, had a urine and blood test (urine was red). Went for a scan ... I was in a lot of pain; no heartbeat from bubba. I'm absolutely devastated. I got my period today and was told I lost the little one at 7 weeks... I have to go back on Tuesday to see if it's a 'normal' miscarriage or eptopic pregnancy. :-(
Good luck to all the mums-to-be on here; it wasn't meant to be for us. Take care all xx
