I'm finding it increasingly more uncomfortable and I'm only 30+2. I live in a small village with speed bumps everywhereeee and I'm starting to have a real vendetta against them! I'm sure many women continue to drive right up until the end but at the moment I don't feel like driving any more than the 10mins there and back to Sainsburys!

Drove myself to hospital in labour at 3 pm, delivered her 90 minutes later. Think I've proably got a high pain threshold though and was third baby so didn't have a choice!

About a week...but only because my car conked out!

I didn't stop.

Put a cushion under you and see if it helps.

Do you need to drive further than Sainsbos? If not, don't!

I had to stop at about 35 weeks with both ds's - mainly because witha big bump (both large babies) and short legs I couldn't get into the seat and reach the pedals! Otherwise would have carried on.

I drove up to the day dd was born- 50 miles per day to and from work, then up to the stables and back to muck out my horse on mat leave... (not recommended but we were stuffed at the last minute with his loan home).

I prefer driving as I am not as sick, and having my arms up means there is more room for my ribs and breathing. And you can go really slowly over any speedbumps too.

This time round I have to say I have been a bit clumsy parking the car, which is a bit embarrassing, and cannot turn round to reverse very well at all, so have been letting DH drive a bit more than last time.

Agree with MummyElk that, first time round anyway, I was most uncomfortable up to 32 weeks, then the baby dropped more and more so there felt like there was much more room to breathe up top, so fingers crossed for you.
