I am on my 3rd size increase and am only 7 weeks, I don't remember having this problem before but I can't keep buying bras this often.

Any suggestions? Have now gone to a dd cup which seems to be outside the cheap bras too

We have a v nice shop locally with measuring and everything but I can't afford £30+ bras for a couple of weeks!

I bought Marks non wired bras '2 pack cotton rich non wired padded bras' at £12. I got them as there was literally nothing else that fitted but they are ok and I've had 6 weeks wear out of them so far. not much support but I'm ok with that and they were cheap!

They're not the prettiest but Debenhams also do cheap packs of maternity bras in larger sizes (certainly a DD cup and much larger too) that do the job (and having a sale too). Don't buy anything over £25 until nearer the end, IMO!

Royce bras have lots of hooks on the back so should give you a little extra time but aren't cheap. Have you considered buying a bra extender? I know it's not very glamorous but I went through tonnes of bras with my 1st pregnancy and it cost a fortune plus none fit this time!

the other thing to try are Bravado bras - their Original and Body Silk bras are designed to cover several cup/back sizes as you expand/contract
not esp cheap but very comfy and will be useful as nursing bras afterwards

Nymphadora · 05/03/2010 12:27

I 'm after support looloo

walnut £25 i usually spent under £10!

Do the extenders make a difference to cup size? Mine are literally overflowing!

Am getting away with smaller bras for a couple of days with supported vest tops on taking some of the weight

Extenders don't increase cup size. The debenhams bras are much less than £25 each - I think you can get a two pack for about £20. I did think that you were saying that you were spending £30+ per new bra though!

im on my third size increase too...

they have wireless bras for £4 in peacocks that are quite nice, and very comfy, and when i got home i noticed that they're also nursing bras!!

Nymphadora · 05/03/2010 18:48

I had started on the decent ones (trying be grown up!) but had reverted back to Asda/Matalan £5 ones!

Nattie I was in Peacocks yesterday and they didn't have anything suitable. You must have got lucky!

I lived in my Bravado nursing bras, before and after the baby was born. The original ones are more of a crop-top shape and are very accommodating to fluctating boobs. They do seem to have expanded their range and got a bit more trendy since I was shopping.

Very comfortable, and easy to BF in. In fact I sometimes still where mine when feeling PMTish. However, not the worlds most attractive.

nattiecake · 05/03/2010 18:58

i might have to go and stock up then in bigger sizes, just in case lol

M&S go up to an F, and do sports bras for £12 - I'm also on my third size increase, and cycle everywhere so really need sports ones, and they're pretty good. They also did some cheap normal bras in big cup sizes - think I got mine for £10 online.

JamAndPeanutButter · 05/03/2010 21:59

After spending a scary half hour in the DD+ section of M&S lingerie yesterday I settled on Total Support value pack- £20 for a white and black one- super comfortable.
